Когда популярность коллектива значительно подросла, название сменили на "Accuser" и под этой вывеской на лейбле "Atom H" выпустили дебютный альбом. Франк не был полностью удовлетворен работой, т.к. ему хотелось, чтобы саунд был еще тяжелее. С этой целью он пригласил Шульца присоединиться к "Accuser", и парни создали изумительный дуэт лидер-гитар.Звучание действительно изменилось и теперь представляло собой нечто типа прогрессив-трэш. Альбом "The conviction", выпущенный новым составом, имел положительные отзывы по всей Европе, где прошли первые гастроли группы.
