Internal Bleeding, безусловно, культовая команда в кругах почитателей death metal, хотя особой известности они так и не снискали. Помимо того, что "Внутреннее кровотечение" принадлежит к т.н. нью-йоркской школе дэта (Suffocation, Baphomet, Skinless, Pyrexia и пр.), группа эта считается наряду с Dying Fetus одной из наиболее важных в истории развития такого подстиля дэта, как slam death metal. Характеристики жанра - мощные басы, грайндовые разгоны и упор на среднетемповый кач во всей красе представлены на дебютнике американцев "Voracious Contempt". Музыка группы представляет собой тяжелый, низкочастотный, преимущественно размеренный и немного небрежно (но ни в коем случае не коряво!) сыгранный death metal. Звучание на альбоме подчеркнуто олдскульное (записано это было более 15 лет назад) и грязное и способно свернуть уши в трубочку "рядовому" любителю современного метала.
