Однако, правда и в том, что "A Crimson Cosmos" предельно неоднороден, и, пожалуй, было непросто выбрать наиболее «характерные» для него номера. Если "Headstones" был последовательной стадией эволюции Lake of Tears, оставивших позади грубую тяжесть "Greater Art", то "A Crimson Cosmos" уводит нас сильно дальше в космическо-психоделический тяжёлый металлический рок, намёки на который были даны только штрихами на прошлом альбоме.
