''In the flames of black art'' из восьми композиций был записан летом 1996 года в ''Cyber Studio'' - Katowice. Несколько месяцев спустя диск выпустил местный лейбл Faithless Production из Bydgoszcz. Многочисленные рецензии в прессе были только положительными. Они стали известны как проповедники великолепного симфонического black metal. Поступили предложения от Massacare Records, Avantgarde Music и Displeased Records, но Darzamat решили пока остаться на Faithless Production. Летом 1997 года бывший ударник Dragon Krystian ''Bomba'' Bytom и гитарист Damian ''Daamr'' Kowalski присоединились к группе.
