Весной 1988 года Хэккетт выпускает неплохой акустический альбом ‘’Momentum’‘. Параллельно он вел работу и над ‘’рок-альбомом’‘, в записи которого приняли участие такие известные музыканты, как: Крис Томпсон (Chris Thompson), Брайэн Мэй, Бонни Тайлер, а так же Йен Мосли и Пит Трэвэйус из Marillion. Тогда альбом не был выпущен: поклонники гитариста смогли услышать ‘’Feedback’’ только в 2000 году.
