"Plasticity" означает нечто вроде возврата к наилучшей форме для Front Line Assembly, как минимум, в отношении синглов. И "Circuitry", и "Surface Patterns" были несколько общими, в них отсутствовало нечто, что делало "Millennium" или "Mindphaser" такими приятными для слуха. Они конечно же содержали обычные ингредиенты FLA - тяжелый, шумный куплет с сильно искаженным вокалом, которому был противопоставлен мелодичный, часто гимноподобный припев - но они были просто удивительно общими, как будто Bill Leeb и Rhys Fulber писали их на "автопилоте". Тот факт, что "Plasticity" не входит ни в какой из известных альбомов говорит о том, как я думаю, насколько песня восхитила и музыкантов, и лэйбл. Она имеет все обычные штучки FLA. Здесь много хорошо подобранных и расположенных сэмплов, вступление несет в себе едва сдерживаемую энергию и сам трек по настоящему энергичен, с дробленым, быстрым битом, а также тут есть этот хорошо зарекомендовавший себя прием противопоставления шумного куплета/мелодичного припева.
