Группа Agressor считается основоположницей французского дэт-металла, хотя за все время ее существования музыканты вступали как на трэшевую, так и на блэковую территорию. Основал банду в 1986 году гитарила-вокалер Алекс Колин-Токвэйн. В компании с барабанщиком Жан-Люком Фальсини и бас-гитаристом Либером им были записаны две демки ("The merciless onslaught" и "Satan's sodomy"), последняя из которых послужила основанием для выпуска сплит-альбома Agressor/Loudblast на лейбле New Wave Records. Впоследствии "агрессивная" половина была переиздана отдельно в формате MCD.
