Новый альбом «Dream Theater» понравился. Но пришлось долго пробираться к этому ощущению, потому что после первого прослушивания впечатление осталось неоднозначным.
И сразу возникают вопросы: а стал бы я так копаться в нём, если это был бы условный «Bad Salad»? А альбом понравился мне, потому что это «Dream Theater» или на самом деле там есть хорошая музыка?
Она там определённо есть. Наверное, больше всего в «Dead Asleep». А ещё отсылок много. Например, там же в конце идёт привет «Sacrificed sons». И, вроде, можно уже начать говорить о самоповторах, но музыканты сами сказали, что специально сделали ностальгический альбом, потому что они снова собрались тем составом, который и выстроил известный стиль группы.
