Vertical Man is the eleventh studio album by Ringo Starr, issued in 1998. The release represents Starr's attempt at a comeback following the enormous success of The Beatles Anthology project.

Old Sock is the twenty-first studio album by English rock guitarist and singer Eric Clapton. It features two new compositions ("Gotta Get Over" and "Every Little Thing"), and covers of some of his favourite songs from childhood to the current day. It also features several guests including Steve Winwood, JJ Cale and Paul McCartney.

New York City's premier jazz venue got the blues last April when Wynton Marsalis and Eric Clapton performed together in Rose Theater at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center for two sold-out shows dedicated to vintage blues. The extraordinary collaboration, billed as Wynton Marsalis & Eric Clapton Play the Blues, paired these musical virtuosos with members of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra as they brought to life a repertoire of songs selected by Clapton and arranged by Marsalis.
Reprise Records captures the magic of these unprecedented shows from on CD and a CD/DVD combo that both feature selections taken from the two public concerts, as well a special performance for Jazz at Lincoln Center's annual gala.

Production of the album was difficult, singer Marian Gold would later say "the production saw Alphaville in the horrors of permanent crisis. There was an ongoing war between [the band]. ... The furious guitar shrieks during the intro [of lead-off single "Romeos"] being a true indication of the real spirit of the production."

Embers is the debut album of Pakistani American singer-songwriter and former iiO front-woman Nadia Ali, released on September 15, 2009 by Smile in Bed Records. The album features Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs number one single "Love Story", top 4 single "Fine Print" and top 6 single "Crash and Burn". On December 1, 2010, the Morgan Page remix of "Fantasy" was nominated in the Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical category at the 53rd Grammy Awards.

First Harvest 1984–92 is Alphaville's first "real" greatest-hits compilation (the 1988 compilation The Singles Collection is generally not counted by fans, consisting as it does of only four different songs, albeit with two versions each).

The Traveling Wilburys Collection (рус. Очень забавна вторая композиция – Love That Binds Me – вольное переложение Since I've Been Loving You (начинающееся со слов “Working from early in the morning Till late at night everyday...” Smile) с примерно той же мелодией и теми же фишками. Впрочем, за исключением этого курьеза остальной материал вполне себе неплох – и ударные номера (Love Is You и Gonna Take You), и пауэр-баллады (Reminiscence и I Shall Be Released). Хороша завершающая альбом лиричная симфо-проговая 12-минутная Song For My Lady (Now I Found) с флейтой, акустикой и меллотроном.

A Beard of Stars was the act's first album with Marc Bolan's new musical partner Mickey Finn and featured Bolan on vocals, guitar, organ and bass and Finn on percussion. It was notable for being the first album on which Bolan used electric guitar, although that instrument had first appeared on the band's 1969 single "King of the Rumbling Spires"/"Do You Remember". According to Mark Deming of AllMusic, A Beard of Stars "was the turning point where Marc Bolan began evolving from an unrepentant hippie into the full-on swaggering rock star he would be within a couple of years, though for those not familiar with his previous work, it still sounds like the work of a man with his mind plugged into the age of lysergic enchantment."

It's been over 30 years since the painted performers dropped their debut self-titled record on the World. That record was a pure blend of Beatles inspired rock mixed with a style all their own. Several albums have come out over the past few years paying tribute to bands like Def Leppard, the Scorpions, Guns N'Roses, Twisted Sister, and Bon Jovi.
