Gold is the second studio album by Ryan Adams, released September 25, 2001 on Lost Highway Records. The album remains Adams' best-selling album, certifying Gold in the UK and going on to sell 364,000 copies in the U.S. and 812,000 worldwide. Adams noted that "with Gold, I was trying to prove something to myself. I wanted to invent a modern classic."

The Getaway is the eleventh studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released through Warner Bros. on June 17, 2016. This is the band's first studio album since 2011's I'm with You. It was produced by Danger Mouse, who replaced Rick Rubin after twenty-five years and six albums as the band's producer, making it the first non-Rubin produced album since 1989's Mother's Milk, while its release makes the current lineup of the band only the second in the group's history to record more than one album together.

Kid A is the fourth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 2 October 2000 by Parlophone Records and Capitol Records. The band's songwriter Thom Yorke envisioned a radical change in direction for the album after feeling burnt out from promoting the band's acclaimed 1997 album OK Computer. Incorporating influences from genres such as krautrock, jazz, 20th-century classical music and the electronic music of Warp artists, Radiohead replaced their guitars with synthesisers, drum machines, the ondes Martenot, string orchestras and brass instruments. Accelerate is the 14th studio album by American alternative rock band R.E.M., released on March 31, 2008 in Europe, and on April 1 in North America. Produced with Jacknife Lee, Accelerate was intended as a departure from the 2004 album Around the Sun.[2] R.E.M. previewed several of the album's tracks during a five-night residency at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, and recorded the album in a nine-week schedule.

Fallen is commercially the band's most successful album to date, selling more than seven million copies in the United States alone, and more than 17 million worldwide.
