To Brazil With Love, with anticipation, and her first bossa nova album does not disappoint. This Brazilian-born music style fits her like a glove, and her renderings of these classic bossa songs and bossa treatments of other songs are straight forward and without overt surprises and gimmicks, and, as always, intimate and charming. An interesting twist is that she uses three languages--Portuguese, English and French--which gives this album an international flavor. The CD also features superb accompaniment once again from Reg Schwager and Don Thompson, as well as Brazillian guests Maninho Costa and Silas Silva.
