To celebrate this year's Record Store Day — which is set for April 16 — METALLICA will release "Liberté, Egalite, Fraternité, Metallica! - Live At Le Bataclan. Paris, France - June 11th, 2003". The CD includes our full nine-song performance from Le Bataclan and was mixed by Greg Fidelman.

Knowing that Jeff s playing days were over, three of his closest friends and musical collaborators, Steven Miller, Rick Braun and Bud Harner dug deep into the Golub vault and uncovered some rare gems - radically different versions of some of Jeff s early tunes along with 2 songs that were never released. From there, Jeff handpicked a number of musical friends to add to the recordings and give each song a modern twist and unique flavor. Saxophonist Kirk Whalum will release Romance Language, a song-for-song remake of the classic 1963 collaboration between John Coltrane and singer Johnny Hartman. The album, which features Kirk’s brother Kevin Whalum on vocals, consists of six romantic standards composed by such greats as Irving Berlin, Sammy Cahn, Billy Strayhorn and Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. The album will be released by Rendezvous Music on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
