Britain’s best-loved rockers Status Quo are delighted to confirm that on 21st October 2016 they will release ‘Aquostic II – That’s A Fact!’ via earMUSIC on CD, limited edition double vinyl and Deluxe 25 Track Edition 2CD. The standard CD edition of this carefully curated collection includes 14 reimagined Quo classics such as ‘In The Army Now’, ‘Hold You Back’, ‘Roll Over Lay Down’, ‘Ice In The Sun’ and two brand new tracks. These and extra tracks are available on deluxe / vinyl, as well as another brand new song ‘Is Someone Rocking Your Heart?’. The song ‘For You’, released originally on ‘Rockin' All Over The World’, is available only on the 20 track vinyl format. The deluxe edition comes with a second disc which features 5 ‘Aquostic II’ bonus tracks as well as 6 tracks recorded at the band’s 2014 Stuttgart ‘Aquostic’ show, which are unavailable elsewhere.

After four post-college years trying to turn her music major into a singing career in New York, Shola Adisa-Farrar, FCLC ’06, was unsatisfied. She packed up and moved to Paris, where, like a lot of expats, she survived at first by cobbling together a variety of jobs. She worked as an au pair, taught English to business executives, and led walking tours of the city. But she also networked ferociously and landed singing and acting gigs. This past April, a Paris label released her first album, Lost Myself, recorded with a French jazz quintet.

While saxophonist Eric Alexander has garnered critical acclaim from every corner, what has mattered most has been to establish his own voice within the illustrious bop-based jazz tradition, which is exactly what he does on ‘Second Impression’. The close-knit ensemble coupled with the bass-clef contributions of the extraordinary Bob Cranshaw, make for a listening experience not soon forgotten.
