Starpeace is Yoko Ono's 1985 concept album, designed to spread a message of peace around the world as an opposition to Ronald Reagan's "Star Wars" missile defense system. As with most Ono albums it did not chart extensively but the single release of "Hell in Paradise" reached #16 on the US dance charts.

Although the 2 CD set Deadly Sting: The Mercury Years starts with the Scorpions' fifth studio album Lovedrive, it effectively traces and relives most of the German outfit's development from buzz band to rock stars. Beginning with their Billboard debut Lovedrive, which featured "Loving You Sunday Morning" and "Holiday" (contained here), the first disc follows the band through the platinum success of Blackout and the mind-blowing popularity of Love at First Sting.

Lonesome Crow is the debut album by the German hard rock band Scorpions. It was recorded soon after Scorpions became a fully professional band under the production of Conny Plank, apparently in only six or seven days, and released February 1972 in West Germany as the soundtrack to the German anti-drug movie Das Kalte Paradies, and May 1973 in the United States.

Gods of Violence reminds me a whole lot of Sodom's latest record in how it tries pretty effectively to be everything for nearly every generation or tier of the band's audience, and it does so with a close approximation of success. Granted, if you're pining for a tip of the hat to Endorama, Outcast, Renewal or Cause for Conflict then you might be largely left out in the cold, but that would at best comprise only a literal handful of listeners on this entire planet, and Kreator would be wise to do so if they want to pump up their base. They also don't delve back into the primacy of their demos or debut. However, if you're interested in hearing an amalgam of their later 80s, involved riffing patterns with the melodic overtures of records like Phantom Antichrist and Violent Revolution, all wrapped up in the accessible thrashing echo chamber of an Enemy of God, then this should fit rather snugly to your interests. Hell, even the TITLE here is drawn from some of those...

Обложка CD почти как у одного известного издания легендарных "Битлов", однако параллели с "Ливерпульской Четвёркой" заканчиваются, стоит только нажать кнопку "PLAY" - внутри царит все та же раздолбайско-алкогольная атмосфера, спровоцированная творчеством лидера "Motorhead" (Lemmy Macht Mir Mut) и духом вакенского феста Auf Nach Wacken.

In 2002 Gary Moore decided to form a band with ex-Skunk Anansie bassist Cass Lewis and Primal Scream drummer Darrin Mooney called Scars. Their studio album "Scars", released on September 2nd on Sanctuary Records, includes compositions reminiscent of the sound of artists like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, in a modern way.

The late Gary Moore was one of the finest and most respected guitarists of his generation. This show, recorded at London s Bush Hall on May 17th, 2007, was originally broadcast by Planet Rock radio. This is the first time the recording has been made available outside of this original broadcast. The concert features a number of tracks from Gary s then newly released 'Close As You Get' album, many of which he rarely played live after this, alongside classics from his extensive back catalogue. Gary Moore was a great live performer and this CD will be a welcome addition to any fan's collection.
