His 'n' Hers is the fourth studio album by Pulp and is commonly cited as the band's breakthrough album, reaching number 9 in the UK charts.
It was nominated for the 1994 Mercury Music Prize, but lost out to Elegant Slumming by M People. In 1998, Q magazine readers voted it the 70th greatest album of all time, while the Virgin All-Time Top 1000 Albums placed it 110th.

Fear of a Black Planet is the third studio album by American hip hop group Public Enemy, released on April 10, 1990, by Def Jam Recordings and Columbia Records. It was produced by the group's production team The Bomb Squad, who sought to expand on the dense, sample-layered sound of Public Enemy's previous album, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (1988). Having fulfilled their initial creative ambitions with that album, Public Enemy pursued a different direction and aspired to create what lead MC Chuck D specified as "a deep, complex album". Their songwriting was partly inspired by the controversy with member Professor Griff and his dismissal from the group in 1989.

Для души в их понимании, естественно.Вокалист, как всегда на высоте, его приятный баритон как нельзя лучше подходит для музыки группы. Музыканты тоже молодцы, не растеряли былого мастерства.
"Darkness And Hope" получился приятным и зрелым альбомом, его можно порекомендовать любителям мелодичной гитарной музыки.

Довольно мелодичный среднетемповый дэт. Разнообразные мелодии, в основном являющиеся заслугой клавишника, пронизывают все песни и создают неповторимую атмосферу, наполненную то «великой» радостью, то «большой» грустью. Вокал злобный, но идеально вписывается в контекст данного стиля музыки. Почти в каждой песне есть моменты (в основном припевы), когда в голосе вокалиста начинает проступать «грустинка» и вся его злоба сходит на нет. Композиции расставлены очень грамотно - хитовые вещи переплетаются с просто очень хорошими треками.В общем, альбом можно рекомендовать тем, кто, в хорошем смысле слова любит немного «загрузиться» и хочет перенестись в непередаваемую атмосферу Redshift.

Альбом этот появился в результате съемок фильма Golden Embrace к которому Кристофер Йонсон писал музыку, празднования десятилетия группы и старых неиздавашихся вещей и кавер-версий. Музыки оказалось предостаточно плюс скопившийся материал. Имеем: неплохую вещь Remembrance в стиле готик-пауэр (ну я загнул), Black Fairy в том же стиле с такой же мрачноватой, но очень красивой темой и атмосферой. Fly to the Rainbow - кавер Scorpions, звучит неплохо, хотя на любителя. Chidren of the Damned - классика Iron Maiden, без комментариев. Under Jolly Roger - привет Рольфу Каспареку, получилось тяжелее и злобнее чем в оригинале, вообще весело, рекомендую. Symphony of the Dead - инструментальный вариант старой вещи, очень красиво. Here comes the Tears - кавер Judas Priest, единственная вещь, которая мне никак не понравилась. Дальше идет музыка из фильма в двух варинтах - оригинальная из фильма и вариант с гитарами.

Плотный, мощный и истинно бьющий саунд релиза валит с ног любого, что имеет уши и ими слышит. А если и повезет, то имеет приличную стереосистему, которая обеспечит ему этот праздник (компы с колонками за сотню баксов - не в счет). Более разнообразный по звуку и аранжировкам, альбом продолжает темы, начатые на дебютнике. Тут вам и проблемы войны и подростковых суицидов и прочие прелести. В качестве десерта - очень недурной кавер на «He's Back» от Элиса Купера: каждая нота подобрана и сыграна идеально в тему. Надо было б сию песню, да в саундтрэк к ремейку “Пятницы, 13-й”.

Dirty Hits is the first greatest hits compilation album by British rock band Primal Scream. It was released in 2003. Early limited versions came in a card sleeve with a bonus disc of remixes; most had previously appeared as b-sides.

Protest Songs is the fourth album by English pop band Prefab Sprout (though the third recorded). It was recorded in 1985, but was not released until 1989; it's not clear whether, at the time of recording, the band had intended it as the main follow-up to their breakthrough album Steve McQueen, released earlier in 1985. The back cover of Protest Songs positions the album as a stage in their musical evolution, offering a middle ground between the sound and songwriting of Steve McQueen and that of From Langley Park to Memphis. The album's promotion was low-key and no singles were released from it at the time (though "Life of Surprises" was issued as a single three years later to promote the group's greatest hits album).

Wish You Were Here is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd. It was released on 12 September 1975 in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records and a day later in the United States by Columbia Records, their first American release for the label.
Based on material Pink Floyd composed while performing in Europe, Wish You Were Here was recorded over numerous sessions at Abbey Road Studios in London. Two songs criticise the music business, another expresses alienation and the multi-part composition "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a tribute to Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett, who left seven years earlier due to his troubled mental health. As with their album The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Floyd used studio effects, synthesizers and brought in guest singers, Roy Harper, who provided the lead vocals on "Have a Cigar" and Venetta Fields, who added backing vocals to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".

The Wall is the eleventh studio album by English rock band Pink Floyd. It was released as a double album on 30 November 1979 in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records and in the United States by Columbia Records. Bassist and songwriter Roger Waters conceived the album as a rock opera during Pink Floyd's 1977 In the Flesh Tour, when he became so frustrated with the audience that he spat on them. Its story explores Pink, a jaded rockstar character that Waters modeled after himself and the band's original leader Syd Barrett. Pink's life begins with the loss of his father during the Second World War and continues with abuse from his schoolteachers, an overprotective mother, and the breakdown of his marriage; all contribute to his eventual self-imposed isolation from society, symbolised by a wall. The band, who were then struggling with personal and financial difficulties, supported the idea.
