Вот уж не часто можно увидеть на наших прилавках лицензионное издание EP-ишки, а тем более не самой известной в широких массах группы. Но в кругах почитателей Gothic-Love Metal'а Entwine уже известный, хорошо зарекомендовавший себя брэнд. Вот и захотелось ребятам срубить немного по-легкому, выпустив для фанатов вот этот “подарок” (в России, как всегда, им в этом помогает FONO records). В целом “Sliver” оставляет о себе очень неплохое впечатление,

Очередной сайд-проект известных норвежских блэкстеров. Невольно напрашивается параллель с прогрессом Moonspell в Daemonarch, то есть несравнимо более яростная, злая, мизантропно-антирелигиозная музыка. Технически сложная, в то же время мелодичная (основной саунд на альбоме и вокал в стиле блэк/дэт), причем на 3-м трэке появляется чуть-чуть эмбиента, что великолепно вписывается в концепцию альбома. Рекомендуется тем, кто разочарован последними альбомами Emperor. Zamoth (Samoth) и Trym доказывают, что они в состоянии делать действительно экстремальную музыку, только их Ihsahn во время пребывания в Emperor с истинного пути сбивает :) Один из лучших альбомов года.

Этот альбом действительно самобытен, – чертовски самобытен! По крайней мере, даже при очевидности влияния Тома Уорриора на их творчество, USURPER невозможно спутать с кем бы то ни было. Это первое. Второе – "Necronemesis" просто изумительно сыгран и записан. Впрочем, первое неудивительно потому, что группа уже далеко не молодая, а второе, – потому что диск был записан в Nomad Recording Studio, под руководством Кола Маршалла. Поклонники Кинга Даймонда, думаю, в курсе, что это за студия, и кто такой Маршалл ;-). Третье – "Necronemesis" слушается на одном дыхании, а причиной тому: нестандартные решения и встречающиеся буквально в каждой песне интересные находки + отсутствие шаблонности.

Smash is the third studio album by American punk rock band The Offspring, released on April 8, 1994 by Epitaph Records. After touring in support of their previous album Ignition (1992), the band recorded their next album over two months at Track Record in North Hollywood, California. Smash was the band's final studio album to be produced by Thom Wilson, who had worked with them since their 1989 eponymous debut.
