Doe Paoro represents so much that is right about current female musicianship. Getting its official release 25 September for ANTI- Records, After is both an epic and intimate album from formerly New York, now LA-based songwriter Doe Paoro. And working with the likes of Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and Sean Carey, along with Chicago duo Supreme Cuts and Sterling Fox (Lana Del Rey), it's not hard to see why the LP traverses a broad spectrum of sounds. From melancholic, introspective electronica and sultry, groove-laden R&B to synth-pop and indie-electronic, After is a strunning release from start to finish.
