Каждая новая студийная работа в путаной дискографии главной психоделической группы всех времен и народов вызывает законный интерес – что еще Дэйв Брок и его коллеги изобрели под очередной дозой кислоты? «Blood Of The Earth» не обманет, пожалуй, ничьих ожиданий – прежде всего он, хотя бы на аранжировочном уровне, возвращается к раннему хэви–звучанию группы, а жесткие ритмические структуры вновь напоминают о прототехно, изобретенное группой в начале 90–х. Как всегда, несколько хаотичные гитарные штормы Дэйва странным образом гармонируют с синтезаторными оргиями Тима Блэйка, а номера «Wraith» и «Sentinel» вполне могут оказаться по вкусу и любителям традиционного прогрессив–рока. В целом – абсолютно лучшая студийная работа Hawkwind с середины 90–х.

The twentieth studio album by the English space rock group Hawkwind, released in 1995. At the end of 1994, with the group established as a three piece of guitarist Dave Brock, bassist Alan Davey and drummer Richard Chadwick, they felt they were lacking visually in terms of showmanship.

The album "Stellar Variations” showcases Hawkwind founding member Dave Brock, long serving stalwart Richard Chadwick and sharp, bright blade Niall Hone’s collection of music forged as a by-product of the tyranny of distance.The material features typical Hawkwind themes of otherworldly splendour and strange, glistening, aural landscapes. There are futuristic prophecies, animalistic war chants, stellar peace hymns and an ongoing self-referential opera. "Stellar Variations” is the sound of three music-nauts firing on all cylinders and is an essential album in the Hawkwind canon.

«Onward» is the twenty-fifth studio album (twenty-seventh overall) and a double-album by British space rock band HAWKWIND.

Taking songs from the first 20 years of Hawkwind's career, this boxset is an excellent overview of the most important songs of this band (most in studio and the rest in concert). For Hawkwind fans, this CD's could be a nostalgic piece of collection that reminds some of great moments of the band. And for novices, a great opportunity to know why Hakwind is the greatest (IMO) band of psychedelic and space rock genre.
