The album was released after the 2004 movie Napoleon Dynamite featured the Jamiroquai song "Canned Heat" in its climactic dance scene. "Feels Just Like It Should" was the first single, reaching No. 8 in its first week on the UK charts. It has since become a No.1 hit on the Billboard dance charts in the United States. The single was also certified Gold in Japan for selling 100,000 copies. The second single, "Seven Days in Sunny June", was released in the UK in August 2005, peaking at No. 14 on the UK singles chart. The song also featured in the film The Devil Wears Prada. On 7 November 2005, "(Don't) Give Hate A Chance" was released as the third single from the album.

Prior its release, the band debuted in 1992 with "When You Gonna Learn" under Acid Jazz Records, and front-man Jay Kay was given a major-label deal with Sony Music. The album was produced as Kay formed the band and is characterised by its acid jazz foundations, layers of instrumentation and socially charged lyrics.

It is compiled of previously released songs recorded between 1986 and 2000 that were used for the soundtrack to the 2001 Japanese romantic film Calmi Cuori Appassionati.
Effectively a "greatest hits" collection, given its inclusion of most of Enya's best-known recordings, the album entered the Japanese album chart at number two, and become Enya's second album after Paint the Sky with Stars – The Very Best of Enya (1997) to sell one million copies in the country, despite the fact many of the tracks on this release were also included on Paint the Sky with Stars.

Secret Garden is an Irish-Norwegian band specialised in new instrumental music, led by the duo consisting of Irish violinist and singer Fionnuala Sherry and Norwegian composer, arranger and pianist Rolf Løvland.
The group came to fame when they won the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest, representing Norway with the composition "Nocturne". In the course of a partnership lasting over 25 years, they have sold millions of albums worldwide, many of which went platinum in numerous countries.

Bassomatic (sometimes written as Bass-O-Matic) were a British band that recorded house music in the 1990s. A project of William Orbit, the band included vocalist Sharon Musgrave and rapper MC Inna Onestep amongst others. For the second album, singer Sindy Finn replaced Sharon Musgrave on vocals. Both albums were produced at Guerilla Studios, founded by William Orbit with Laurie Mayer and Grant Gilbert, and released by Virgin Records.

This promotional disc was released to promote Vespertine. It is in many ways a precursor to her Greatest Hits album and it features CD ROM videos of "Hidden Place," "All is Full of Love," "Hyperballad" and "Hunter."
