Anastasis is a 2012 studio album by the British-Australian band Dead Can Dance. It is the eighth studio album by the band and the first after Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard disbanded in 1998. It was officially released on 13 August 2012 by PIAS Recordings, 16 years after the group's last album, Spiritchaser. It is also the band's first album since it left 4AD Records. "Anastasis" is the Greek word for "resurrection".

Конечно, если быть уж совсем дотошным, то здесь можно найти некоторые параллели с коллегами по цеху Covenant (некоторая отстранённая холодность атмосферы нескольких песен) и где-то даже с Depeche Mode (вокальные партии), но я думаю, что все согласятся с тем, что у De/Vision всё равно есть собственный почерк и стиль написания песен. Как мне показалось, на данной работе, музыканты несколько отошли от активного использования "живых" инструментов, уделив больше внимания синтезатору, что, впрочем, вовсе не ухудшает качества музыки, а скорее наоборот возвращает нас к тому материалу, с которого ребята начинали свой творческий путь, с поправкой на время, разумеется. Это умная, красивая и интересная поп-музыка, к которой можно смело добавить приставку "intelligent". Я употребил здесь термин "поп-музыка" немного условно, поскольку данный продукт очень сильно разнится с тем, что крутится по музыкальным каналам и что музыкой можно назвать лишь с очень большой натяжкой.

Volta is the sixth studio album by Icelandic singer Björk, released on 1 May 2007 by One Little Indian Records. A wide array of artists collaborated with Björk on material for the album, including longtime collaborator Mark Bell, along with new producers Timbaland and Danja.
The album received positive reviews upon its initial release, and is Björk's first and only album to reach the top 10 on the US Billboard 200, peaking at number nine. Volta spent nine weeks at number one on the US Top Electronic Albums chart and in the first three months of release sold over half a million copies worldwide. In the United Kingdom it was certified Silver. The lead single, "Earth Intruders", reached number 67 on the UK Official Download Chart, and number 78 on the main UK Singles Chart, while the remix EP later charted on its own at number 150. In the United States, the song became her second entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 84. Volta was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.

"Violently Happy" is a song by Icelandic singer and songwriter Björk, released as the fifth and final single from her album Debut in 1994. The song was written by Björk and Nellee Hooper, who helped her in writing and producing most of the album. The lyrics speak of Björk feeling a love so intense that it is actually dangerous, requesting that her lover return to "calm her down". Musically, it's an upbeat song which peaked at #13 in the UK and reached #3 on the US dance charts.

Medúlla is the sixth studio album by Icelandic singer, songwriter, and musician Björk, released on August 30, 2004 by Warner Bros. Records and One Little Indian. The title derives from the Latin word for "marrow". The album is almost entirely a cappella and constructed with human vocals. Medúlla received two Grammy Award nominations and reached number one in several record charts.

Greatest Hits is a compilation album released in November 2002 featuring the songs of Icelandic singer Björk. Although not all of Björk's singles are included on this collection, all of the songs on Greatest Hits were released as singles. The tracks were selected by fans through a survey on Björk's website. Greatest Hits presents the songs in descending order of most-popular votes, with the exception of "It's In Our Hands" which was a new song and appears at the end of the compilation.

Debut is the second studio album by Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk. The album was released in July 1993 on One Little Indian Records in the United Kingdom and Elektra Records in the United States. Björk worked on the album with producer Nellee Hooper who co-wrote five of Debut's songs with her. The album mostly consists of love songs relating to subjects such as her boyfriend Dominic Thrupp, her producer Nellee Hooper and to love of life itself. Musically, the songs on this album took a different direction from her previous albums with her former band The Sugarcubes, with the backing music ranging from house, jazz and trip hop styles.

Salvation is the fifth album by Alphaville, released in 1997 in Europe, and - with different artwork and three bonus tracks - in the U.S. in 1999. Salvation marked a tumultuous time for the band: Ricky Echolette had left Alphaville during the production and Marian Gold and Bernd Lloyd were in a constant struggle with their record label which resulted in virtually no promotion for this album, and the subsequent split that led Alphaville to establishing their own, concert- and online-focused communication, promotion, and distribution platform.

С одной стороны, вроде бы ничего и не изменилось – музыка в том же стиле, красивые и интересные мелодии, НЕдавящие на мозги биты, классное синтетическое звучание, да и вокал всё так же грустновато-меланхоличный, но чувствуется, что группа сделала шаг вперёд. В сравнении с предыдущим альбомом мелодии стали интереснее, красочней, если внимательно прислушаться, то в каждой песне может обнаружить столько различных тем и нойзов, что даже удивляешься – зачем всё это? Но вряд ли это лишнее – кто услышит, тот ещё раз убедится, что не зря их назвали королями. Качество звука на максимуме – а разве когда-то было иначе? – как и лирика, она всё так же имеет лёгкий философский оттенок, над некоторыми текстами можно даже немного поломать голову после прослушивания.
