Multiple Grammy nominee, vocalist denise donatelli releases her highly anticipated new recording, find a heart september 18, 2015 on Savant Records. Denise Donatelli is a mesmerizing jazz vocalist, in command of her expressive instrument while offering her heart and soul with each note.

"Naked World" is the third solo release from Chapell, but the seventh if you include her time with the world-renowned jazz ensemble, Phyllis Chapell & SIORA. Named one of the best jazz vocalists of all time by Scott Yanow of Jazz Times, Downbeat, and All Music Guide, Phyllis has a voice that can only be described as “beautifully unique.” Lyrical, strong and expressive vocals with elements of jazz, folk, torch - performing songs in multiple languages (including English).

"Some Kind of Dream" captures the exquisite fleeting moments between sleep and wakefulness - the midnight borderland of a lover's whisper and star-shot skies. The melting ballad and title track sets the tone for the 3rd album from singer / songwriter Penelope Sai, who has joined once again with Sean Mackenzie (piano), Jonathan Zwartz (bass) and Nic Cecire (drums), and the much acclaimed American artist Scotty Barnhart on horns. The 12 tracks include 7 stunning original compositions and 5 jazz standards. From the smooth cascades of Melt Away to the playful lines of Ave Guynemer this lush album curls up and unfurls with a delicious sway and verve.

Recorded in five studios in Nashville and nearby Franklin, Tennessee, The New Cool is something of a follow-up to Nathan East's self-titled 2014 album, though it's billed to the bassist and his fellow Fourplay member, Bob James. Like Nathan East, The New Cool is a Yamaha release. The label wing of the manufacturer also supplied the duo with instruments and enabled them to make this predominantly acoustic set of eight originals and three interpretations. Drummer Scott Williamson, percussionist Rafael Padilla, and an orchestra - with David Davidson as concertmaster - are all involved, yet they're employed sparingly and leave the spotlight to East and James. The album sounds like it was easy and fun to make - one can sense joy and deep focus in the interplay - as the material is predominantly amiable and laid-back. It's almost entirely instrumental, with East adding some occasional soft scatting, while Vince Gill drops by for the lone "proper" vocal inclusion on an elegant recasting of Willie Nelson's "Crazy."

Twin Danger's 2015 self-titled debut showcases the Brooklyn duo's smoky, neo-noirish jazz- and R&B-infused sound. Formed in 2013, Twin Danger is a collaboration between longtime Sade guitarist/saxophonist Stuart Matthewman and vocalist/guitarist Vanessa Bley.

Galactic is a live machine, but they take it slow releasing studio albums which have been hit and miss in the past – most likely because their live shows deliver the goods. On Into The Deep the band has polished up the grime from the gutters of the Bywater and made an album more worldly sounding. This is by design as electro leaning production was handled in house by bassist Robert Mercurio and saxophonist Ben Ellman. Less concept, more of just a collection of smooth grooving tracks that touches all the genre labels. While not as structured as their recent successfully offerings it still flows easily and contains some shining moments.

Julia was born with music in her blood, as her mother is a pianist and her father plays the guitar. Julia began to sing, play the piano, and star in musical theater productions as a small child, and studied voice and composition at the renowned Eastman School of Music, as well as New York University and Univerisdad Panamericana de Guadalajara.

The Sarah Weller Band is new on the scene and is led by vocalist Sarah Weller who isa Perrier Jazz finalist but whether the term jazz is appropriate remains to beseen. The selection of songs on the album is a mix of newer and older compositions.
