With the release of Slam Dunk, Gerald Albright continues his reign supreme as the genre's most compelling and consistent artist. Fans will hear his searing and soulful sax lines on this twelve-track recording. And, they'll be in for a surprise, as Albright shows off his chops as a bassist, along with his ebullient tenor, baritone and soprano saxophone arrangements on his own compositions, and his super covers of classics by Phil Collins and James Brown, with special guest vocalist Peabo Bryson.

Jhelisa's second album for Dorado finds her delving into darker territory, both musically and lyrically -- with themes ranging from child abuse to pre-arranged marriage. Her own arrangements and music-writing enhance the personality of Language Electric, and the mood is understated, though the range of sounds -- from loose funk and ambient soul to occasional techno -- sounds more reminiscent of her work with the Shamen. Fellow Dorado act Outside (Matt Cooper) sits in on piano.

Jhelisa's debut album, Galactica Rush, wears its acid jazz credentials proudly on its sleeve - and why not? For the genre, it's certainly strong example to follow, blending beats with psychedelia and Jhelisa's accomplished vocal work. The title track, for instance, swirls around with layers of squealing horns and a sudden exclamation, "12 little kitties in a cardboard box!" Acid, indeed. The humorous personal manifesto of "There's Nothing Wrong" gives us Jhelisa at her most individualistically defiant, while "Hold My Peace" lends some political action to that defiance. With production from Cool Breeze, the album shows its lighter side on "Whirl Keeps Turning" or the cleverly tongue-in-cheek "Death of a Soul Diva." And I don't have to mention the now-classic "Friendly Pressure"; it speaks for itself. And the three lullaby-like tracks that close out the album show off Jhelisa's more maternal side as well.

Holiday for Swing is the second full-length studio album, and first Christmas-themed album from Seth MacFarlane. The album is a collection of Christmas songs and contains collaborations with artists including Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles. It also features Frank Sinatra's bassist Chuck Berghoffer as well as a 65-piece orchestra. It was produced and conducted by film and television composer Joel McNeely.

Breezin' is an album by jazz/soul guitarist George Benson. It is his debut on Warner Bros. Records.

"Moonlight Serenade" - is an American popular song composed by Glenn Miller with subsequent lyrics by Mitchell Parish. It was an immediate phenomenon when first released in May 1939 as an instrumental arrangement and was adopted as Miller's signature tune. In 1991, Miller's recording of "Moonlight Serenade" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Give the People What They Want is the fifth studio album by American soul and funk band Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings.

St. Paul and The Broken Bones is a seven-piece soul band based out of Birmingham, Alabama. The band is composed of Paul Janeway (vocals), Browan Lollar (guitar), Jesse Phillips (bass), Andrew Lee (drums), Al Gamble (keys), Ben Griner (trombone), and Allen Branstetter (trumpet). St. Paul and The Broken Bones formed in 2012.

On the heels of his 2014 Grammy win for his 2013 album Steppin' Out, legendary trumpeter Herb Alpert presents his latest album, In The Mood. A collection of original compositions and modern takes on classic standards, In The Mood continues Alpert's tradition of pushing his own musical boundaries.

Silhouette is the new album from Ali Campbell, the legendary voice of UB40 reunited with Astro & Mickey. Recorded in London's renowned RAK Studios, the album is an inspired mix of freshly-minted new songs and sparkling, reggaefied cover versions of classics by The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Chi-Lites and others. The track Silhouette was originally a 1957 hit for the American doo-wop group The Rays, though this new, yearning take, owes more to an early 1970s version by the crown prince of reggae, the late Dennis Brown. As founding members of UB40, Ali, Mickey and Astro helped to define reggae music for a generation. The iconic Birmingham reggae troupe topped the UK singles chart on three occasions and sold 70 million records as they took their smooth yet rootsy musical blend to all corners of the globe.

Phil Collins' seemingly endless well of energy afforded him two careers: one as the drummer/vocalist in Genesis, and a second as a prolific session musician. It was in this second scenario that Collins hooked up with Percy Jones, John Goodsall, and Robin Lumley during sessions for Brian Eno, Eddie Howell, and Jack Lancaster. The quartet soon formed Brand X, a fusion jazz band that matched the prodigious rhythms of Collins and fretless bassist Jones with the atmospheric melodies of Goodsall and Lumley.

Brand X's most eclectic album to date, Product is perhaps most notable for its attempts at a pop crossover in the Phil Collins-sung "Don't Make Waves" and "Soho." The range of styles presented here -- hard and soft fusion, pop, progressive rock -- results from the now-interchangeable nature of the Brand X lineup, which, in addition to the returning Collins and Robin Lumley, is expanded to include bassist John Giblin and drummer Mike Clarke (Chuck Burgi having left after Masques).

Moroccan Roll (1977) is the second studio album by British jazz fusion group Brand X. The title is a pun referring to this being their second album: "more rock and roll", however, Moroccan Roll is not a step toward the rock & roll side of the fusion equation, but rather an experiment with Eastern sounds and softer textures. The album is mostly instrumental; only "Sun in the Night" is sung by Phil Collins.

Without the drumming of Phil Collins, who does appear on some of Brand X's albums, Masques still maintains a snug, jazzy-prog milieu and comes off clean and tight. Each song has a different beat, speed, and tempo with a satisfying assortment of keyboards and percussion instruments to keep the entire album afloat. Resounding xylophone and chimes outline the music on the seven tracks, with "Earth Dance" and "The Poke" coming up a little bit stronger than the rest.
