Death Magnetic is the ninth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released on September 12, 2008 through Warner Bros. Records. The album was produced by Rick Rubin, marking the band's first album since ...And Justice for All (1988) not to be produced by longtime collaborator Bob Rock. It is also the first Metallica album to feature bassist Robert Trujillo, and the second to be completely co-written by all of the band's members.

Human. :II: Nature. (stylized as HVMAN. :||: NATVRE.) is the upcoming ninth album by Finnish symphonic power metal band Nightwish. It is set to be released on April 10, 2020 through Nuclear Blast. It will be the band's first double album.
Following the departure of original drummer Jukka Nevalainen the previous year, it will be the first album to feature Kai Hahto as official band member, although he had already acted as Nevalainen's replacement on the band's previous album, Endless Forms Most Beautiful.

Так что если вы, как и я, провели последние лет пять где-нибудь под большим и сырым камнем, то вам примерная диспозиция: Lucifer - это проект немецкой вокалистки Иоанны Садонис, который она основала после безвременного распада группы Oath. Исходно одним из его участников был Газ Дженнингс, которого вы можете знать по его работе в Cathedral, - именно этим фактом, скорее всего, объясняется то, что музыка Lucifer с самого начала была пропитана духом дум-металла. Их неторопливые гитарные риффы и атмосферный звуковой напор можно сравнить с ранним творчеством Black Sabbath. The highly anticipated debut full-length of this U.S. band. Hailing from the rustbelt Metal hotbed of Cleveland, Kurnugia was founded by ex-members of Decrepit, Nunslaughter, Embalmer, December Wolves and Delusion. Not surprisingly, this assembly of seasoned underground veterans is heavily influenced by the classic Death Metal of the early 90's, and that's exactly what Kurnugia aim for: to go back right to the roots of the genre and pay homage to the deeds of old, unaware of gimmicks, trends and mindless experimentation.

At the Heart of Winter is the fifth studio album by Norwegian black metal band Immortal. It was released on February 22, 1999 through Osmose Productions. It is the first Immortal album not to feature Demonaz on guitar, as he suffered from acute tendinitis in his hands. The album marks a shift in Immortal's musical sound, towards a black metal and thrash metal fusion.

For the first time, we recorded in our own studio in Graz (AT). This resulted in a much freer, more creative and relaxed atmosphere that you can hear in the quality of the songs. In collaboration with co-producer and mixing / mastering engineering Adam Train, the finishing touches were made in London, UK.

Chile’s Extreme Metal scene continued to impress with COFFIN CURSE’s debut, “Ceased to Be,” an old school Death Metal record with riffs of maximum caliber. The album was eight tracks of fresh ideas mixed with old school stylings.
“Gathered unto Death” introduced the album with steady riffing and nice structure but nothing beyond what was expected of the release. The track jumped around with different riffs, progressing through them with ease before reaching a sort of grand finale. As a whole, the song was a strong start to the record.
Within the first half of the record, the scene was set for brutality. “Where Sickness Thrives” and “Chopped Clean Off” provided a look into the fierce riffing of the band. With very good transitioning and songwriting technique, the songs were effectively two of the strongest on the record.

"Thulêan Mysteries was made passively, in the sense that I never intended to make a new album; I just made music every now and then and at one point realized that I actually had enough to release it all on an album. When asked to do so I figured: why not? It was a good idea. The music is a little bit of this and a little bit of that, transcending any genre, and perhaps belonging to many different genres. The intention with it was always to create a certain atmosphere, often related to an idea or a situation. Since my true passion has never been music, but actually tabletop role-playing games, I figured I should make this an album intended for that use; as background music for my own MYFAROG (Mythic Fantasy Role-playing Game). Hopefully you will get a sense of Thulê when you listen to this, like always with Burzum, ideally when on your own.
