For the past two years, Nils Frahm has been building a brand new studio in Berlin to make his 7th studio album titled All Melody, which will be released on January 26th, 2018 via Erased Tapes, before Nils embarks on his first world tour since 2015.

Fang is an ambient progressive musician who emerged from the DIY-"cassette culture" 80's scene with a highly idiosyncratic style influenced by the traditional musics of non-Western cultures, including Javanese gamelan and the folk music of his Chinese ancestors. The rich electronic textures of his music are often complimented by Western and non-Western stringed instruments, winds and percussion. Fang has released 13 albums over the past three decades, including two ambient soundscape recordings under the project name, "Sans Serif." For a 21-year-old putting out her first record, Alexandra Savior already seems to have made some major strides. She’s releasing Belladonna of Sadness through a major label, Columbia, and has enlisted the undeniably A-list talents of James Ford, he of Simian Mobile Disco, and Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner to handle production duties. Ford and Turner, you’d imagine, already have a collaborative shorthand given that the former has worked on every Monkeys record since their sophomore Favourite Worst Nightmare and also produced The Last Shadow Puppets’ Everything You’ve Come to Expect last year – on which Savior herself co-wrote one song, Miracle Aligner.

Released on November 10, 2017, by Universal Music, Tears for Fears’ new compilation album is titled Rule the World: The Greatest Hits. It contains fourteen of the band’s well-loved hits plus two newly recorded, fresh compositions. Albeit it does not consist entirely of new materials, the remixed versions here of many of the band’s iconic songs shine even brighter. This may be attributed to the obvious and necessary tweaking and polishing of the songs’ instrumentation and orchestration, which made the music now sear and soar even higher up there, complementarily, with the familiar, powerful interplay of Orzabal’s deep, vigorous voice and Smith’s breezy, silky croon. It should be commended too for ensuring that every Tears for Fears album—from 1983’s The Hurting to 2004’s Everybody Loves a Happy Ending—is represented in this assemblage.
