Luciferian Light Orchestra - Side-project of Christofer Johnsson of Therion. From the band's website: "Luciferian Light Orchestra is a new band wrapped in a vintage spirit. The band is performing songs that Christofer Johnsson has written over the years but thought were too retro sounding for Therion. Christofer always had a big passion for the 70’s music. Luciferian Light Orchestra sounds like a 70’s version of Therion, mainly inspired by the 70’s occult vibes and themes."
Apart from Christofer on guitars and Mina Karadzic on vocals, the rest of the line-up is unknown at the moment.

Flugzeug Trio is a prog-jazz Montreal-based band. Since the very beginning of the project an incredible chemistry between all three members has been leading the band in the most natural way, setting things up for amazing discoveries.The bass-less trio performs originals, which can best be described as very melodic with insane dynamics. Most compositions are written by Chapais and often arranged collectively, Gagné joining his out of the box ideas to Meza’s unusual rhythms to create a truly inventive project. On this album, they are joined by four-times Juno Award-winner bassist Chris Tarry who brings his fantastic vibe and wonderful sound.

Formed in 2008 under the (thankfully dropped) name Rightdoor, Within Silence are a melodic power metal band in the vein of Blind Guardian. As such you can expect huge swathes of guitar, souring vocals and banks of keyboards all vying for space amidst the pounding rhythms and heroic soloing. Growing steadily, the band have taken their time to draft their debut offering, the gleaming ‘gallery of life’, and it appears that it has been time well spent because the rehearsals, the time spent writing and then honing material on the road with the likes of Blaze Bayley has paid off with this confident and powerful album.

The height of Junior Boys’ acclaim came around 2006’s So This Is Goodbye, whose songs - including the new indie classic “In the Morning” - drew comparisons to Depeche Mode and other ’80s synth-poppers. Big Black Coat, though, excavates more underground traditions - Detroit techno, industrial dance music, the early days of drum-machine-backed disco - as its songs spool out patient, hypnotic rhythms rendered in high-hat hisses that sometimes, yes, sound like ice being chipped.
