Sticks and Stones (stylized as Sticks + Stones for its European release and Sticks & Stones for its North American and Australian release) is the debut studio album by English recording artist Cher Lloyd. It was released on 7 November 2011 through Syco Records. Sticks and Stones is Lloyd's first official release since finishing fourth on the UK version of The X Factor a year prior. Lloyd worked with various producers and songwriters for her first full-length release, including The Runners, Kevin Rudolf and Savan Kotecha, among others. Lloyd co-wrote five songs on the tracklisiting. Lloyd herself called the album a "jukebox."

Recorded in five studios in Nashville and nearby Franklin, Tennessee, The New Cool is something of a follow-up to Nathan East's self-titled 2014 album, though it's billed to the bassist and his fellow Fourplay member, Bob James. Like Nathan East, The New Cool is a Yamaha release. The label wing of the manufacturer also supplied the duo with instruments and enabled them to make this predominantly acoustic set of eight originals and three interpretations. Drummer Scott Williamson, percussionist Rafael Padilla, and an orchestra - with David Davidson as concertmaster - are all involved, yet they're employed sparingly and leave the spotlight to East and James. The album sounds like it was easy and fun to make - one can sense joy and deep focus in the interplay - as the material is predominantly amiable and laid-back. It's almost entirely instrumental, with East adding some occasional soft scatting, while Vince Gill drops by for the lone "proper" vocal inclusion on an elegant recasting of Willie Nelson's "Crazy."

Doe Paoro represents so much that is right about current female musicianship. Following her critically acclaimed 2012 debut album, the New York songstress is back with a much more developed and accessible offering that is keen to knock some doors down and be noticed. Getting its official release 25 September for ANTI- Records, After is both an epic and intimate album from formerly New York, now LA-based songwriter Doe Paoro. And working with the likes of Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and Sean Carey, along with Chicago duo Supreme Cuts and Sterling Fox (Lana Del Rey), it's not hard to see why the LP traverses a broad spectrum of sounds. From melancholic, introspective electronica and sultry, groove-laden R&B to synth-pop and indie-electronic, After is a strunning release from start to finish.

Новый альбом 22-летнего итальянского пианиста Alessandro Lanzoni вышел 18 ноября 2014 года. Антология современного американского металла. Песни с приглашёнными вокалистами всё равно как-то напоминают группы, в которых они поют. И Lamb Of God, и Testament, и Mastodon, и в чём-то Pantera. Хорошие риффы: и качает, и скорость присутствует, и тяжесть, и мелодичные моменты, и какая-то прогрессивность местами. Ударные с Портным, конечно, интересные. Может, в чём-то схожи с Adrenaline Mob. Вернулись бласт-биты. Соло Школьника классные: что-то и из старого Testament'a, и из нового. 10 хороших песен чистого, настоящего американского метала. Из всей атмосферы этой несколько простоватой музыки они выбрали лучшее и выдали это. Может, местами вторично, и "мы это уже сотни раз слышали", но классно же и приятно.
