The six compositions were written by Cohen during the six months that followed his father’s passing in November 2014. During his father’s final few weeks, Cohen listened almost constantly to an album of Rachmaninoff’s solo piano music. The trumpeter plays with a very personal, deeply moving tone that is not only touching and soulful, but also free-spirited and open.

Fortunately for everyone, Borknagar has delivered, with Winter Thrice providing a thoroughly satisfying slab of music. There's simply no capacity in which this album is a let down. Need to quench your thirst for progressive songwriting alongside suitably blackened riffage? Borknagar have catered to that in spades. Are subtle choirs and grandiosity more your thing? Such techniques are peppered throughout, adorning the swells of exciting cadences and somber passages alike. Even with everything that's going on, the atmosphere remains open and inviting, lacking the suffocating quality that often plagues similar acts.

Here’s veteran reedman Houston Person rolling in the deep again, his tone resonant as ever, his primary focus the Great American Songbook and its enduring lyricism. Paul Raymond is celebrating 50 years as a professional musician by releasing his new album Rewind 50 which is a retrospective of his songwriting with various bands spanning his 50 year career. A whole bunch of fresh ideas for older tracks, which were rewritten bei Robert Fränzel. The recording at the Atomino Studio was a meeting of friends, a joint project with many try outs and a lot of fun. „Wooden Playground“ is the result, which will be released in the end of July. It will be the beginning of an album series from Northern Lite, which will be difficult to all other projects and which will be unplanned from the beginning till the end.

"The Buffet" is the 13 studio album by American R&B singer and songwriter R. Kelly. It was released on December 11, 2015, by RCA Records. The album features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Jhene Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, Juicy J, Wizkid and Tinashe. The album also marks the debut of Kelly's own daughter, Joann Kelly going by the stage name Ariirayé.
