The Shadow Self is the fourth studio album released by Finnish vocalist Tarja Turunen. The record was released on 5 August 2016.

Santoor player Rahul Sharma and Eric Mouquet of French musical group Deep Forest have come together for an album called Deep India, a first-of-its-kind collaboration by Sony Music Entertainment. The album, a fusion between traditional Indian symphonies by Rahul and electronica by Deep Forest, consists of eight tracks that capture the rhythms of folk melodies from across the country. It will be different from Rahul's previous works, which are primarily instrument-based. Deep India will showcase distinct vocal elements.

Deep Africa is a studio album by Eric Mouquet of the French duo Deep Forest released in 2013 by the label Station 5. It contains vocal samples and singing in various African languages. The album features African singers such as Blick Bassy and Wasis Diop.

Long awaited comeback from Felicia Adams who first came to wider attention via her ‘Read My Lips’ CD from 2004. ‘Re-birth’ has all the hallmarks of her old school sensibilities especially on the beautiful, laid back ‘Baby, Baby’, the throwback, vintage Motown-esq curveball of ‘Music Thang’ and the lazy, hypnotic ‘Melody’. ‘Best Of Me’ brings in some funk and see Felicia turn up the attitude a notch or two, ‘Wake Up’ is a blissful dreamy mid tempo highlight.

Hungarian-born pianist and keyboardist Peter Horvath performs with the who­is­who of jazz such as Victor Bailey, Lenny White, Arturo Sandoval, Randy Brecker, Marcus Miller, and many more. While he is a in demand recording musician on numerous albums his solo career has only seen two albums yet. His debut album Foreign Matter (1995) and his sophomore album Absolute Reality. All original compositions, the music fuses a variety of elements from hard hitting funk jazz with horns, to pieces with latin and straight ahead jazz influences, along with some beautiful mid tempo tunes and ballads, even a solo piano performance to close the album with. The sound represents the musical diversity of the Bay Area along with the influences of years of touring and recording with some of the greats in jazz and beyond.
