This is three CDs of chillout classics, laidback grooves and remixes from the legendary Café Mambo on Ibiza. The trouble is, it’s music for people who have been up all night dancing on Es and want to relax before bed, or for those who are still on Es and want to rehydrate and chill before getting back to the dance floor. At the end of the day — or in Ibiza’s case at the start of the next one — this is just cool background music, if not easy listening. It’s mixed by Café Mambo resident DJ Pete Gooding and artistes range from Lana Del Ray and London Grammar to Grace Jones and Fatboy Slim. It’s not without highlights: Grace Jones’ Private Life is never dull and there’s an exclusive remix of Phil Collins’ The Roof Is Leaking. There’s a good dub remix from The Rolling Stones in Out Of Control. We also liked Henry Mancini and His Orchestra’s Lujon.

A whole bunch of fresh ideas for older tracks, which were rewritten bei Robert Fränzel. The recording at the Atomino Studio was a meeting of friends, a joint project with many try outs and a lot of fun. „Wooden Playground“ is the result, which will be released in the end of July. It will be the beginning of an album series from Northern Lite, which will be difficult to all other projects and which will be unplanned from the beginning till the end.

"The Buffet" is the 13 studio album by American R&B singer and songwriter R. Kelly. It was released on December 11, 2015, by RCA Records. The album features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Jhene Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, Juicy J, Wizkid and Tinashe. The album also marks the debut of Kelly's own daughter, Joann Kelly going by the stage name Ariirayé.

One of the highlights of spending the day at one of Ibiza’s beach clubs is the music that soundtracks your experience. Each venue has at least one talented DJ making sure the music sets the mood for the perfect day at the beach. Clearly there are two standards for evaluating a hits collection such as "Ultimate Divas," which proclaims that it has assembled the greatest female vocalists of our time. The first and most important standard is whether or not these are indeed the greatest female vocalists that you could put together on one album (the second caveat seems to be that the singers are of child bearing age as of 1999, since the wunderkind of the bunch is either Toni Braxton or Mary J. Blige, but I am not looking up dates of birth). This album starts with Billie Holiday and ends with Aretha Franklin, it has Lena, Horne, Sarah Vaughn and Ella Fitzgerald, you get Tina Turner and Diana Ross, there is Annie Lennox and Toni Braxton, and you have Patti LaBelle and Whitney Houston and that still leaves four more.

Really, the title says it all. The classic Bop era is alive and well in the form of Bop, the new CD by veteran musicians Jeff Lorber and Chuck Loeb. The disc was put together to help find a cure for PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) which inflicts Lorber and members of his family. Bop is a fantastic jazz album from a group of exceptional players who have risen to the occasion to help out a friend.
