Искаженные каноны неоклассики, извращенная лирика в исполнении болезненного плачущего вокала, тревожные оркестровки, нервные электронные мелодии - невероятный, гениальный, почти физически царапающий по коже альбом, наполненный безумием и отчаянием, еще больше усиливающимся от того, что нет и не будет им описания и объяснения... Железо, бряцающее здесь, описать довольно просто: забойно, быстро, приямолинейно, без эстетских излишеств, всё честно. То тут, то там среди типичного (да типичнейшего!) тевтонского трэшняка встречаются этакие по-панковски раздолбайские моменты, да и кавер на The Spermbirds затесался сюда не просто так. Джерре надрывается, будто завтрашнего дня не будет. На самом деле за алкогольными эскападами кроется только одно: жизнь достаточно грустна, поэтому лирические герои Джерре натрезвяк её едва переносят.

К инструментам придирок никаких - особых изяществ для такой музыки и не требуется, так что музыканты справляются со своей задачей без проблем, – что гитар, что клавиш, что барабанов касается, – всего в меру, и опять же, никакого однообразия. А с вокалом мне вообще долгое время было непонятно – старый это вокалист или новый. Дело в том, что новый вокалист (этот альбом - второй с участием Роба) очень похож на старого. И я не считаю что подобное подражание является минусом. Стиль же альбома можно охарактеризовать как готик-рок с кое-какими вставками дума (небольшими порциями "кача"). Присущая записи небольшая шершавость воспринялась мною положительно, так что её качество на высоте.

The album was released in June 1970 by Vertigo Records in the UK. The original vinyl release was a gatefold sleeve, featuring frontman David Byron on the front sleeve, almost unrecognisable beneath cobwebs.

It was issued in August 1970 by Mercury Records in the United States as just Uriah Heep with different sleeve artwork (a centipede type monster), and with the track "Bird of Prey" in place of "Lucy Blues". The album was reissued by Bronze Records in 1971 after the band signed to that label.

Sweet Freedom is the sixth studio album by English rock band Uriah Heep, released in September 1973 by Bronze Records in the UK and Warner Bros. Records in the US.

The original vinyl release was a gatefold, reproducing the lyrics within. There was also a central page with a photograph of each band member.

It was the first Uriah Heep album to be released by Warner Bros. in the U.S. Sweet Freedom reached No. 33 in the US Billboard 200 chart.[6] It was certified gold by the RIAA on 5 March 1974.

Salisbury is the second studio album by English rock band Uriah Heep, released in January 1971 by Vertigo Records in the UK and Mercury Records in the US. It was produced by Gerry Bron. Unlike their first album, songwriting credits for fully half of the record were attributed to Ken Hensley alone, as opposed to the debut's collaborative partnership of frontman David Byron and guitarist Mick Box. Soon after the release, drummer Keith Baker left the band, replaced by Ian Clark (from another Vertigo band, Cressida). With Clark, the band embarked on their first US tour, supporting Three Dog Night and Steppenwolf.
