British Steel saw the band reprise the commercial sound they had established on Killing Machine. This time, they abandoned some of the dark lyrical themes which had been prominent on their previous releases, but some of it still remains. British Steel was recorded at Tittenhurst Park, home of former Beatle Ringo Starr, a recording studio located on Tittenhurst's grounds, after a false start at Startling Studios in December 1979. Digital sampling was not yet widely available at the time of recording, so the band used analog recording of smashing milk bottles to be included in "Breaking the Law", as well as various sounds in "Metal Gods" produced by billiard cues and trays of cutlery.

Jon Secada is the self-titled English-language debut album by pop singer Jon Secada, released in 1992. It sold six million copies worldwide and was certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA. Queen of Denmark is the debut solo album by former The Czars frontman John Grant, released on April 19, 2010 on the Bella Union label. Queen of Denmark is a collaboration between Grant and American folk rock band Midlake and produced by Grant himself in collaboration with Midlake members Paul Alexander and Eric Pulido. It was recorded over two four-months periods, July to October 2008 and May to July 2009, in Midlake's recording studio in Denton, Texas.

Another Side is an album released on 12 November 2007 by John Barrowman under the Sony BMG label. The album is composed entirely of chosen cover songs. Speaking of his decision to release his solo album, Barrowman stated that it wasn't about launching a pop career, but about giving people a chance to see "Another Side" to him as an entertainer. The album reached number 22 on the UK Album Charts and was certified gold on 11 January 2008; Barrowman was subsequently presented with a 'Gold Disc' to acknowledge this on The Alan Titchmarsh Show in February of that year.

The Extremist lives up to its name, continuing Joe Satriani's tradition of exploring new musical and compositional ground. A vastly different array of musicians assists him in creating the songs displayed on this all-instrumental disc, and as such the songs are different from even the usual envelope-pushing Satriani fare. The chugging "Summer Song," the warm "Friends," the slamming "Motorcycle Driver," and the crunching "The Extremist" show Satriani's talents as a guitarist are undiminished, while the more traditional neo-folk approach to "Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness" and the bluesy "New Blues" are different from anything he has done before. So, too, is the droning rock of "War" and the plaintive, questioning funk-rock of "Why."

Super Colossal is the eleventh studio album by guitarist Joe Satriani, released on March 14, 2006 through Epic Records. The album reached No. 86 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and remained on that chart for two weeks, as well as reaching the top 100 in three other countries. Super Colossal was later nominated for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 2007 Grammy Awards; this being Satriani's thirteenth such nomination.

Flying in a Blue Dream is the third studio album by guitarist Joe Satriani, released on October 30, 1989 through Relativity Records. It is one of Satriani's most popular albums and his second highest-charting release to date, reaching No. 23 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and remaining on that chart for 39 weeks, as well as reaching the top 40 in three other countries.

"Until We Say Goodbye" was released as a single and received a nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 2001 Grammy Awards; this being Satriani's tenth such nomination.

Ребята не поленились и достали с полки запылившиеся moog'и, что придало музыке особую окраску и звучание 70-х годов. The musical style of Karg is a furious, hysteric mixture of Atmospheric Black Metal and a huge load of Post Rock, with influences also from Grunge, Shoegaze and Post Punk. ... Every song is a separate, private ,Dornenvogel’ (which is a metaphor in this connection) to Karg, every song treats a different chapter. That’s why the album is called ,Dornenvögel’.

Немцы Rough Silk никогда не принадлежали к высшей лиге хэви-метала. Возможно, по одной простой причине: им так и не удалось придумать ничего своего. Используя - справедливости ради скажем, достаточно умело - наработки, риффы и мелодии других, более успешных, команд, группа Ферди Дёрнберга медленно, но верно клепала свои альбомы. Впрочем, Ферди известен, пожалуй, поболее своим участием в группе Аксель Руди Пелла да сотрудничеством с кучей других исполнителей; а Rough Silk, судя по всему, для него так, побочный проект ради развлечения. Новый альбом под говорящим названием «A New Beginning» вышел как раз к 20-летию Rough Silk. Посвящен он памяти Хилмера Штааке, гитариста группы, который в 2006 году скоропостижно отправился в лучший из миров.

Альбом последовал за весьма успешными «Wolfheart» и «Irreligious». Естественно, что после этих релизов никто не ожидал столь резких изменений в музыке португальцев, возможно, поэтому альбом был принят в штыки фэнами и раскритикован в прессе. На мой взгляд, неправильно сравнивать альбомы Moonspell, т. к. все они достаточно сильно различаются между собой, тем более неверно сравнивать с чем-либо SIN/Pecado. Музыкально он не является металом, как не вписывается в какой-либо другой музыкальный жанр.Красивые мелодии, огромное количество разнообразных эффектов и электронных фишек создают уникальную, глубокую атмосферу, которая возможно и является причиной притягательности этого альбома, заставляя переслушивать его раз за разом уже несколько лет.
