There's some distinct quality in many Dutch art rock / prog releases since the early 70's, which made bands like "Focus" and "Kayak" so popular. Like those legends, "Lunar Clock" creates melodic, symphonic rock with layered keyboards and exquisite guitars, carrying on the great tradition. As an example, listen to the guitar solo in the 2nd half of the last track. Yeah, that's genuinely Dutch! Favorite track: Metabolism III: Spring.

Так что если вы, как и я, провели последние лет пять где-нибудь под большим и сырым камнем, то вам примерная диспозиция: Lucifer - это проект немецкой вокалистки Иоанны Садонис, который она основала после безвременного распада группы Oath. Исходно одним из его участников был Газ Дженнингс, которого вы можете знать по его работе в Cathedral, - именно этим фактом, скорее всего, объясняется то, что музыка Lucifer с самого начала была пропитана духом дум-металла. Их неторопливые гитарные риффы и атмосферный звуковой напор можно сравнить с ранним творчеством Black Sabbath. Однако этим их творчество не исчерпывалось, - со своей стороны Иоанна вдохнула в песни Lucifer энергетику тяжёлого рока восьмидесятых, что выражается в хитовых и запоминающихся мелодиях и общей композиционной стройности. ”Wayfarer” is the second solo album of Kimmo Pörsti (The Samurai of Prog, Paidarion, Mist Season). Music ranges from Camel-style songs to groovy fusion instrumentals. Although the album could be described as symphonic-prog in general, you can find celtic and bluesy elements etc as well.

Shepherd Moons is the third studio album by Irish singer, songwriter and musician Enya, released by 4 November 1991 by WEA. After the unexpected critical and commercial success of her previous album Watermark (1988), Enya embarked on a worldwide promotional tour to support it. At its conclusion, she proceeded to write and rehearse new material for her next album with her long time recording partners, manager, arranger and producer Nicky Ryan and his wife, lyricist Roma Ryan. The album was recorded in Ireland and London and continued to display Enya's sound of multi-tracked vocals with keyboards and elements of Celtic and new-age music, though Enya believes her music does not belong in the latter genre.

A Day Without Rain is the fifth studio album by the Irish singer, songwriter and musician Enya, released on 20 November 2000 by WEA. Following a promotional tour in support of her compilation album Paint the Sky with Stars (1997), Enya took a short break before she resumed writing and recording a new album in 1998 with her usual recording partners, producer and arranger Nicky Ryan and his wife, lyricist Roma Ryan. In a musical departure from her previous albums, Enya incorporates a string section which was not a conscious decision.

This is a stone cold groove of an album. Eliza is a great songwriter and delivers her version of standard rock blues with a modern slant. Not a boring second on this CD. I highly recommend. That voice, oh man. If you like her other offerings you'll love this, if you're new to eliza this is a great place to start but you'd do yourself a disservice not to get her other works.
