Greatest Hits is the first compilation album released by British pop and soul group Simply Red, which contained material from their first five studio albums (Picture Book, Men and Women, A New Flame, Stars and Life) and included a newer track, a cover of Aretha Franklin's 1973 classic, "Angel".

Promis noted, it "isn't meant to be a greatest-hits collection" but "it's an assortment of big, swooping Whitney Houston love songs" and that it "is solely intended for the most casual of fans". In the United Kingdom, the album has sold 46,264 copies.

It is the first to feature drummer Matt Flynn. The band's former drummer, percussionist and background vocalist – Ryan Dusick, who officially left the band in 2006 due to serious wrist and shoulder injuries, was credited as the "Musical Director".
