Alone in the Universe is the thirteenth studio album by British rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), and the first credited to Jeff Lynne's ELO. The moniker came out from Lynne as a response to ELO tribute and imitation bands, who repeatedly used ELO for promoting their own tours. Released on 13 November 2015, the album is the first of new original material credited to the group since Zoom in 2001, and the second since the original group's disbandment in 1986. The album was met with generally favourable reviews, peaking at number two on the Billboard Top Rock Albums and number four on the UK Albums Chart, where it has been certified Platinum.

My God-Given Right is the fifteenth studio album by German power metal band Helloween. It was released on May 29th, 2015. It marks the first time the band releases five studio albums with the same line-up.
It is their seventh consecutive album produced by Charlie Bauerfeind, and their first album released under the label Nuclear Blast since 2003's Rabbit Don't Come Easy.

Shadowmaker is the eighth studio album by the Finnish cello metal band Apocalyptica. It was released on April 17, 2015 in Europe and Australia, and will be released on April 20 in the UK, France and Latin America, April 21 in the U.S. and Canada, and April 22 in Japan.

Astra is the third studio album by British rock band Asia, released in late 1985. It was the final studio album (excluding half studio/half compilation album Then & Now) to feature original member John Wetton until 2008's reunion album Phoenix

British hard rock veterans look back on better times to get a clearer picture of what’s to come. Third album on the comeback road from Jerusalem, who formed in the 70s and released one album before disbanding, finds original members Lynden Williams and Bob Cooke joined by prog luminaries Geoff Downes on keyboards and Nick D'Virgilio on drums. The danger in these situations is that the star turns become the main show, however on Cooler Than Antarctica, if anything, the opposite is true. Williams' vocals leading from the front (Cooke, credited as 'composer' doesn't actually appear on the album, as such), while it is guitarist Ollie Hannifan who drives most of the songs on show. Downes, alongside Ray Drury who also plays keys, instead provides a solid base from which everything else jumps off, while D'Virgilio, in the main, keeps it pretty simple (by his standards anyway…).

Первые релизы WITCHERY представляли тогда ещё невиданную брутальную форму thrash-metal. Музыканты стали одними из первых в этом жанре, который затем на некоторое время занял такие же позиции, как metalcore сейчас. Мощные риффы с брутальным, практически «блэковым» вокалом, натуральные и постоянные переходы от thrash-metal к death-metal, а от death-metal к old-school black-thrash-metal завораживали своей злобной энергетикой. Потом популярность стиля, а следом и WITCHERY пошла на спад, и группа на некоторое время прекратила своё существование. Но в этом году после трёхлетнего перерыва коллектив неожиданно вернулся с новым вокалистом. Да с каким!!! Новым фронтмэном стал сатанист Legion, известный широкой публике по работе в MARDUK. Теперь творчество WITHCERY окончательно приняло антихристианско-инфернальный характер. Забавно, что музыка группы изменилась несильно, но вокал Легиона, как оказалось, подходит к ней идеально. Чтобы сделать возвращение боле шумным, шведы привлекли к записи очень известных приглашённых музыкантов, к примеру Kerry King из SLAYER и Gary Holt из EXODUS.
Хороший, очень качественный и забойный альбом для всех поклонников самых брутальных вариантов thrash-metal. Эта музыка не слишком запоминается своими мелодиями, но, безусловно, запоминается своим драйвом.
