Undercover is the 17th British and 19th American studio album by The Rolling Stones, released in 1983. After their preceding studio album, Tattoo You (1981), which was mostly patched together from a selection of outtakes, Undercover was their first release of all new recordings in the 1980s. With the advent of the MTV generation, the band attempted to re-invent themselves for a new era.

This is a dense album with lots going on and the band brought in a host of guest musicians and producers to help flesh(god) out their ginormous concepts. Guitarists Ricardo Dias and Vitor Carvalho do some impressive work leapfrogging across genres and styles, managing to craft quality goth, death and black metal riffs to fit the various songs as needed. They aren’t particularly flashy players but they know how to drive a song with a riff. Dias is also credited with the orchestral arrangements, which are omnipresent and generally well executed. They aren’t always as well anchored to the core of the music as with Shade Empire and Septicflesh, but they certainly work. Ernesto Guerra was required to pull off multiple vocal styles to make this all come together and he should be commended for his solid performance. His death roars are respectable and his singing is often quite emotional. Considering he’s a fairly limited vocalist, he really stretched his capabilities and helped put the material over the top.

Equilibrium have crafted an album full of cool, catchy tunes that makes you want to bang your head to the heavy as shit guitars, tap your foot to the big hooks, groove to the rhythm and want to go off reserve like you’re at a European progressive trance gig – all at the same time. There must something in northern European water that brings out almost virtuoso inventiveness, and Equilibrium can comfortably take their place alongside their Scandinavian brethren and fellow creative geniuses such as Vintersorg and Witherscape.

Time Takes Time is the tenth studio album by Ringo Starr, released in 1992, his critically acclaimed comeback album. His first studio album since 1983's Old Wave, it followed a successful 1989–90 world tour with his All-Starr Band. Time Takes Time features several celebrity guests including Brian Wilson, Harry Nilsson and Electric Light Orchestra frontman Jeff Lynne.

После выхода в далеком 1998-м ошеломившего многих альбома "Oceanborn" можно было услышать резонные вопросы "А что дальше? Куда двинется группа? Смогут ли еще раз создать такой альбом?". Ответ на все эти вопросы предстояло дать третьей по счету работе финских пауэрщиков, получившей название "Wishmaster". Навряд ли сами музыканты предполагали, выбирая название альбома, насколько же пророческим окажется название. Как "Мастера желаний", "Nightwish" оправдали все надежды и превзошли ожидания поклонников. Если эффект от выхода "Oceanborn" можно сравнить с эффектом от разорвавшейся бомбы, то с чем можно сравнивать выход "Wishmaster"`а? Тут каждый сможет предложить для себя море вариантов.

Showtime, Storytime is a video release, released as a double Blu-ray, DVD and CD from Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Nuclear Blast recorded their live performance at the Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany on August 3, 2013. Showtime, Storytime is the first Nightwish production to feature Floor Jansen on vocals. She initially replaced previous vocalist Anette Olzon during their North America tour leg, and on October 9, 2013, it was revealed that she would become an official band member, along with Troy Donockley. The running time of the concert is 1 hour and 38 minutes. The album also contains a 120 minute documentary about the first days of Jansen in the band, still as an only live member, and her process of adaptation in the band, called "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours".

Nightwish не перестаёт удивлять слушателя. После достаточно монументального лонгплея "Wishmaster" достаточно забавно смотрится открывающая полураздолбайская и весёлая одноимёнка "Over The Hills And Far Away" авторства некто Гари Мура, идеально сошедшая бы за саундтрэк к мультфильму о блуждающем по Средиземью с тусовкой гномов Бильбо Беггинсе авторства Толкиена, распевающем свои весёлые песенки про дорогу (кто читал, тот поймёт ;)) и изредка бегающему от больших и страшных лесных пауков.

В июне 2004-го вышел один из самых ожидаемых релизов 2004-го года – альбом “Once” финнов “Nightwish”. После, как считалось, не самой удачной работы Найтов “Century Child” ожидалось или что-то совсем новое, или же возвращение к золотым временам “Oceanborn”`а или “Wishmaster”`а, что это было сделать затруднительно, или плыть далее по течению, по которому группу несло на “Century Child”. Как оказалось, группа избрала единственно верный первый вариант. Группа не испугалась поставленной собой же высочайшей планки и взяла эту высоту. Пусть не без помарок, но победителей, как известно, не судят. Сводился диск на Finnvox Studios, в работе над ним принимали участие более ста человек, что по нынешним меркам нонсенс.

Я думаю, многие, для кого пятый лонгплей Nightwish входит в число любимейших творений финского коллектива, помнят тот день, когда они впервые погрузились в его музыкальный мир. Фраза "Однажды я услышал "Once"" для многих стала крылатой. Этот альбом способен расширить воображение, превратить пустые будничные картины в экзотические пейзажи, в которых есть чувства победы и поражения, рождения и смерти, радости и печали. Кстати, обложка в большей степени отражает именно последнее чувство и (если не вникать в тексты) кажется не слишком подходящей к такой разноплановой, масштабной и красочной музыке.
