Roger Chapman - британский певец, более известный как фронтмэн прогрессивной группы "Family" (1968 - 1973). The foundation for Light Damage was laid in Luxembourg in 2005, after a yearly festival, ?Spirit of ?66?, where drummer Sébastien and guitarist Stephane Lecocq got to know each other. They joined up with singer/guitarist Nicholas-John and bass player Fréderik Hardy. After some changes in line up and 7 years of playing coves and now material at festivals and in rehearsal rooms, Thibaut Grappin became the bands drummer (replacing founder Sebastien) and Sébastien Perignon took care of the keyboards.

Not to be confused with the well-intentioned but still incomplete career retrospective of the late '90s, this international release focused exclusively on the three albums (two studio and one live) issued during the period stated in its title. At the time, Genesis' three-man lineup was finally coming into their own as a viable commercial entity, having survived the seemingly insurmountable challenge of losing guitarist Steve Hackett and especially singer Peter Gabriel.

It’s one of life’s ironies that an artist as independent and ahead of her time as Betty Davis (Mabry) is today remembered mostly for her brief marriage to Miles Davis, and for having transformed the trumpeter in record time from Italian suited jazzer to psychedelically garbed imbiber of Bitches Brew. (Davis credited Betty with introducing him both to hip threads and the sounds of Hendrix, Sly Stone, and others.) Chump change indeed for a singer, songwriter, model/fashionista, and provocateur who was a Greenwich Village scene maker while still in her teens. She wrote “Uptown (To Harlem)” for the Chambers Brothers, and later went on to release three unheralded records of low-down ‘70s funk whose open sexual attitudes prefigured later, more commercially successful efforts by Rick James, Prince, and Madonna.

Stranded is the third album by the art rock band Roxy Music, released in late 1973. It reached number one on the UK album charts. The cover shows Bryan Ferry's then girlfriend and 1973 Playmate of the Year, Marilyn Cole. It was the first Roxy Music album on which Ferry was not the sole songwriter as multi-instrumentalist Andy Mackay and guitarist Phil Manzanera also contributed to the album. Though it was also the first without Brian Eno, who had left the group after For Your Pleasure, he nonetheless later rated it as Roxy Music's finest record.
