Selwyn Birchwood is an American blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter from Tampa, Florida. He was the winner of the Blues Foundation’s 2013 International Blues Challenge (band category), as well the winner of the Albert King Guitarist of the Year award, presented at the same event. To win, he bested 125 other bands from around the world. Birchwood plays electric guitar and electric lap steel guitar. His live performances feature his original songs. Supervision is the third studio album by English singer Elly Jackson, known professionally as La Roux. It was released on 7 February 2020 through Jackson's own independent label Supercolour Records. It is her first album recorded entirely as a solo act, following 2014's Trouble in Paradise, on which former member Ben Langmaid still contributed to a number of songs. Musically, Supervision continued the style of the preceding album, exploring the music of the 1980s and referencing funk and disco.

When Richard Norris and Soft Cell’s Dave Ball, better known as The Grid, rediscovered a tranche of unused soundscapes from sessions with Robert Fripp during the early 1990s, when the guitarist’s ethereal ’scaping graced The Grid’s 456 and Evolver albums, they were galvanised into action.

American Idiot is the seventh studio album by American rock band Green Day. Produced by Rob Cavallo, the album was released in the UK on September 20, 2004 and in the US on September 21, 2004 by Reprise Records. Green Day first achieved popularity in the 1990s with a string of successful albums. Following disappointing sales of their sixth album, Warning (2000), the band took a break before recording their next album, titled Cigarettes and Valentines. Queen of Denmark is the debut solo album by former The Czars frontman John Grant, released on April 19, 2010 on the Bella Union label. Queen of Denmark is a collaboration between Grant and American folk rock band Midlake and produced by Grant himself in collaboration with Midlake members Paul Alexander and Eric Pulido. It was recorded over two four-months periods, July to October 2008 and May to July 2009, in Midlake's recording studio in Denton, Texas.

Another Side is an album released on 12 November 2007 by John Barrowman under the Sony BMG label. The album is composed entirely of chosen cover songs. Speaking of his decision to release his solo album, Barrowman stated that it wasn't about launching a pop career, but about giving people a chance to see "Another Side" to him as an entertainer. The album reached number 22 on the UK Album Charts and was certified gold on 11 January 2008; Barrowman was subsequently presented with a 'Gold Disc' to acknowledge this on The Alan Titchmarsh Show in February of that year.
