Madonna (retitled Madonna: The First Album for the 1985 reissue) is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on July 27, 1983 by Sire Records. After having established herself as a singer in downtown New York City, Madonna was signed by Sire president Seymour Stein, due to the club success of her debut single, "Everybody" (1982). She became the sole writer for most of the album's tracks, and chose Reggie Lucas as its primary producer. Unhappy with Lucas's production outputs, she invited John "Jellybean" Benitez to complete the album, who remixed three tracks and produced "Holiday".

The Complete Studio Albums (1983–2008) is a box set by American singer-songwriter Madonna. It was released by Warner Bros. Records on March 26, 2012, to coincide with the release of her twelfth studio album, MDNA. The eleven-disc box set was released in Europe and Japan, and included all of Madonna's studio albums from the years 1983 to 2008. The album artwork consisted of a collage of the album covers, housed in a gold box, it also included a Parental Advisory sticker due to the original version of the albums Erotica (1992) and American Life (2003). On the same date, Warner Bros. released and reprinted another box set titled Madonna: Original Album Series which included five discs.

Bedtime Stories es el sexto álbum de estudio de la cantante estadounidense Madonna, publicado por primera vez el 21 de octubre de 1994 por las compañías Maverick, Sire y Warner Bros. Records. Para la producción, colaboró con Dallas Austin, Babyface, Dave «Jam» Hall y Nellee Hooper con el objetivo de adoptar un sonido más convencional y atenuar su imagen pública, tras enfrentar respuestas negativas tanto crítica como comercialmente por proyectos sexualmente explícitos en 1992, especialmente con el álbum Erotica y el libro Sex. El lanzamiento del sencillo «I'll Remember» en marzo de 1994, para la banda sonora del filme With Honors, marcó el comienzo de esta nueva transformación, que continuó con Bedtime Stories. De géneros pop y R&B, las letras exploran temas como el amor, la tristeza y el romance, pero con un enfoque más suave y reflexivo. No obstante, en otras canciones aborda la polémica generada en relación con sus trabajos anteriores, lo que los críticos analizaron como un ejercicio autobiográfico. Madonna también quería explorar la música club británica, cuyos géneros como el dub habían ganado popularidad, por lo que trabajó con la cantante islandesa Björk.
