Empty Hands is the seventh studio album by American singer Poppy. It was released through Sumerian Records on January 23, 2026. The album's lyrics were written solely by Poppy, while production was handled by Jordan Fish, who also produced her previous album Negative Spaces (2024).

Empty Hands debuted at number 137 on the US Billboard 200 becoming her second entry on the chart since her third album, I Disagree (2020). It also entered the charts in several countries including Australia and the UK, and becoming her first album to do so in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, and Switzerland.

Death stalked Mayhem from the womb. Founded near Oslo in 1984, the black metal band cycled through a handful of temporary vocalists before meeting the Swedish teenager Per Yngve Ohlin in 1988. Ohlin went by the pseudonym Dead, and his self-destructive intensity onstage was the missing piece for this band bent on sonic and metaphysical annihilation. Dead died by suicide in 1991 without ever appearing on a proper Mayhem release. His voice only surfaced posthumously on a couple of live recordings, including one adorned with a gruesome photo of his corpse next to the shotgun he used to kill himself. Two years later, Mayhem’s charismatic guitarist Euronymous (born Øystein Aarseth) was murdered by Varg Vikernes, the musician behind competing black metal project Burzum. In 1994, Mayhem would finally release their debut full-length, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, featuring Euronymous on guitar and Vikernes on session bass in what might be the only musical collaboration between a murderer and his victim.

Helix is a Canadian hard rock and heavy metal band. They formed in 1974, and are best known for their 1984 single "Rock You".

The history of the band has been marked by many lineup changes, with Brian Vollmer being the sole constant member and only remaining member of the original lineup. The original lineup was formed by drummer Bruce Arnold, and consisted of lead vocalist Brian Vollmer, guitarists Ron Watson and Rick "Minstrel" Trembley, keyboardist Don Simmons, and bassist Keith "Bert" Zurbrigg. However, their most well known lineup, and the one that recorded "Rock You", was the 1980s version of the band: Vollmer on vocals, accompanied by guitarists Brent "The Doctor" Doerner and Paul Hackman, bassist Daryl Gray, and drummer Greg "Fritz" Hinz. Although Hackman was killed in a tour bus accident in 1992, the surviving members of the 1980s lineup reunited in 2009 for an album, and the band has continued to tour since 2011.

“Impressions In Blood” – типичный вадеровский релиз, в том смысле, что музыка команды как всегда быстра, брутальна и сильна. Это в своем роде пластинка «Litany» смешанная с «The Art of War», с, как всегда, достаточно эмоциональным вокалом Питера, поющим, именно голосом. Вследствие чего местами на диске слышится полугроулинг. Также на релизе неплохую технику показал новый драммер – его партии хорошо подчеркивают и без того тяжелые риффы. Величественные соло привносят особую пафосность и интеллектуальность этому творению. Оркестровые вставки также играют немалую роль, они придают творению эпический оттенок.

Переливы клавишных, акустика, пассажи, характерные для эмбиента, чистый мужской голос и женский бэк-вокал, а еще подчеркнуто, я бы даже сказал, вызывающе мелодичные партии электрогитары. Но есть в этой музыке (а это, несомненно, музыка), что-то агрессивное и злобное, несмотря на милейший антураж.
