Blue Moves is the eleventh official album release by Elton John. It was released in October 1976. It was John's second double album (after Goodbye Yellow Brick Road) and the first to be released by his own label, Rocket Records Ltd. Despite the album's darker tone and a wave of negative reviews, on its release it reached no. 3 on the charts, partly on the strength of the its biggest hit single "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word".

Blue Moves is the eleventh studio album by British musician Elton John. It was released on 22 October 1976 through John's own Rocket Record Company (his first for the label), alongside MCA Records in certain countries. John's second double album, it was recorded at EMI Studios, Brother Studios, Eastern Sound and Sunset Sound Recorders, and was his last to be produced by longtime collaborator Gus Dudgeon until Ice on Fire (1985). Additionally, the album would be the last collaboration between John and lyricist Bernie Taupin for the next few years[a] until a partial resumption of their working partnership with 21 at 33 (1980).

Blue Moves (dt.: Blaue Bewegungen) ist das elfte Studioalbum des britischen Sängers und Komponisten Elton John.

Für das Cover wählte John ein erst kurz zuvor für seine eigene Sammlung erworbenes Bild, das der irische Künstler Patrick Procktor gemalt hatte und der es „The Guardian Readers“ nannte. Geplant war, zur Unterstützung des anlaufenden Verkaufs fünfzig Kopien der Langspielplatte der britischen Boulevardzeitung Sun zur Verfügung zu stellen. Diese sollte im Rahmen eines Leserrätsels die Schallplatten an die Gewinner verteilen. Kurz vor Umsetzung dieser Absicht wies die Sun in einem Artikel in Anspielung auf Johns damals noch verheimlichte Homosexualität darauf hin, dass auf dem Bild ausschließlich junge Männer und keine Frauen abgebildet seien. Verärgert nahm John daraufhin von dem Vorhaben Abstand.

Но группа, как видно, не пошла по легкому пути, и в итоге, “Satanogenesis” вышел довольно неоднозначным. Первое, что бросается в уши — неожиданная сырость звука. С чего бы? Костяк группы особо не изменился - инструменты остались в тех же руках, а сама запись, сведение и т.д., как и раньше, происходили в польской студии Hertz... Значит, это можно списать на дань стилю.

Savatage выпустил последний и лучший альбом, Poets & Madmen, в 2002 году. В 2003 отыграл последние концерты и фактически прекратил своё существование. "A New World Rising". Это мастерски сделанный и вполне достойный релиз классического тевтонского хэви - скоростной, зубастый, мелодичный. Rage отлично имитируют самих себя, и если бы мне сейчас было лет 12, то эта запись показалась бы мне настоящим откровением и взрывом человеческого сознания. Сейчас же слушаю я альбом и ловлю себя на мысли, что всё это классно, но не слышу я тут ни страсти, ни задора, ни поступательного движения.
