Everything that the mellow-toned tenor Fraser MacPherson played was "in the tradition," but some of the music on this CD reaches back even further than usual. Several of the songs (such as "Louisiana," "Struttin' With Some Barbecue" and "You're Lucky to Me") are from the 1920s, and even the three group originals hint at that early style. MacPherson, whose sound often resembles Zoot Sims and Stan Getz, was one of the last of the "Four Brothers" cool tenors. He is assisted by trombonist Ian McDougall, guitarist Oliver Gannon, bassist Steve Wallace, and drummer John Sumner (all fellow Canadians) throughout the delightful set, one of MacPherson's last before his 1993 death.

This group isn't trying to sound the same as the prior American iterations but Johnny Moore is up front with his amazing voice and this makes them legit. Folks in the Carolinas who enjoy shagging and beach music will love this CD.

Strange Days is the second album by American rock band The Doors, released in September 1967. It was a commercial success, initially earning a gold record and reaching #3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album also yielded two top 30 hits and eventually a platinum certification. Disintegration is the eighth studio album by English alternative rock band The Cure, released on 2 May 1989 by Fiction Records. The record marks a return to the introspective and gloomy gothic rock style the band had established in the early 1980s. As he neared the age of thirty, vocalist and guitarist Robert Smith had felt an increased pressure to follow up on the group's pop successes with a more enduring work. This, coupled with a distaste for the group's newfound popularity, caused Smith to lapse back into the use of hallucinogenic drugs, the effects of which had a strong influence on the production of the album. The Cure recorded Disintegration at Hookend Recording Studios in Checkendon, Oxfordshire, with co-producer David M. Allen from late 1988 to early 1989. During production, founding member Lol Tolhurst was fired from the band.

To the Faithful Departed is the third studio album by Irish alternative rock band The Cranberries, released on 30 April 1996. The album was made in memory of Denny Cordell who signed the band to Island Records and Joe (vocalist Dolores O'Riordan's grandfather), who had both died that year.

It reached number 18 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart and stayed on this chart for 130 weeks; the album shipped six million copies there.
