Private Dancer is the fifth solo studio album by recording artist Tina Turner. Marking her debut with the record company, it was released by Capitol Records in May 1984. Recording sessions for the album took place at several studios in England and was overseen by four different production teams, including Rupert Hine, and Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh of Heaven 17. A radical departure from the rhythm and blues sound Turner had performed with her former husband and performing partner Ike Turner, the tracks in the album are a mixture of uptempos and ballads, which are basically inspired by pop and rock genres; it also features elements of smooth jazz and R&B.

Limbo is a 1996 album by the American alternative rock band Throwing Muses, released on Rykodisc. The album was recorded at the same New Orleans studio the band recorded University. Following a tour for the album, Throwing Muses were dissolved, with Kristin Hersh continuing her solo career and David Narcizo and Bernard Georges working on several personal and music projects including Hersh's. The album, engineered by Trina Shoemaker, also features cellist Martin McCarrick and Robert Rust on piano.

It was reported on the band's official forum that the album had leaked to various internet sites in mid December 2006. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at #1 on 28 January 2007. The album charted at #45 in the UK end of year album chart, after selling around 319,000 copies in 2007. The album has been certified platinum.

We Started Nothing is the debut studio album by English indie pop duo The Ting Tings. It was released on 16 May 2008 by Columbia Records. The US edition has a different cover image in several background colours. The album was also released in the United Kingdom on red vinyl limited to 2,000 copies. The US vinyl version is a standard black vinyl pressing. As of November 2014, We Started Nothing had sold 639,876 copies in the United Kingdom.

PCD is the debut studio album by American girl group The Pussycat Dolls, released on September 12, 2005, by A&M Records. In 1993, the Pussycat Dolls was created as a burlesque troupe by choreographer Robin Antin. After attracting media attention, Antin struck a joint venture with Interscope Records to develop the Pussycat Dolls into a brand, with Jimmy Iovine assigning the project to Ron Fair. As one of the executive producers Fair produced the majority of the album and collaborated with producers like Kwamé, Polow da Don and Rich Harrison. The album is primarily a dance-pop and R&B record. Lyrically the album incorporates sexual innuendo and explores the themes of feminism and romance. It features guest vocals from rappers Busta Rhymes, Timbaland and will.i.am.

The Best of the Moody Blues is a compilation album by the progressive rock band the Moody Blues, released on 28 January 1997. The album was also the Moody Blues' first compilation album to feature "Go Now", a song recorded in 1964 with then lead singer Denny Laine, who was replaced by Justin Hayward shortly after.

I like this recording, although not as much as the official soundtracks. These arrangements are not those heard in the film, but redone by one of the composers (Coppola, d.1991). That's not necessarily a bad thing, however. On the bright side, it includes many songs not found on the standard soundtracks, including some found in The Godfather's Family Wedding Album, which is perhaps the best of all the Godfather soundtracks.
