Dusty in Memphis is the fifth studio album by Dusty Springfield, released in 1969. The album features one of the singer's top 10 UK hits, Son of a Preacher Man. Although it did not garner significant commercial success upon its original release, and remained out of print for many years, Dusty in Memphis is now frequently included in lists of the greatest albums of all time.

New arrangements of McCartney's "The Family Way" for classical guitar. It's the film score he wrote in 1966/67 featuring the wonderful "Love in the Open Air" theme. And in many ways the starting point of his later composing of classical music. It's quite lovely. : )

There are only a few who are trying to keep the real spirit of prog alive. But good news, they’re still out there, and Dream The Electric Sleep is one of these.

Originally Absolution formed in May 2010 with the sole purpose of fulfilling an obligation for a 40- minute support slot. Now, with the 3rd album, ""Dusty Road"" soon to be released - following healthy sales and critical acclaim for both their debut album, ""Issues"" (2012) as well as the follow-up live effort ""Live From The Front,"" (2013) along with a fast-growing international fan base - that 40 minute support slot has over-run somewhat! Absolution create an electrifying sound. If in need of comparisons then they are best described as a Blues-Rock power trio, projecting the excitement of Cream, and containing trace elements of early ZZ Top with a bit of Joe Bonamassa thrown in for good measure!

Na het album ‘Ab Ovo‘ uit 2013 en de ietwat negatieve recensies, hebben ze toch doorgezet en het opnieuw geprobeerd. En ik moet zeggen dat dat wel aardig is gelukt. Gelukkig zingt Wojciech Ciuraj in het Engels in tegenstelling tot het vorige album. Al is het wel leuk om te melden dat de band er een 2cd van heeft gemaakt. CD1 is in het Engels en CD2 in de moedertaal Pools.

What a surprise being a lover of all music of the hard rockin' 70's variety especially power trios I was blown away by how authentic and killer this band sounds...while labels like Century Media, Nuclear Blast and Metal Blade are falling over themselves to release albums by bands that sound retro...leave it to the Grooveyard and Joe (The Groovedawg) to deliver a totally authentic sounding retro power trio of the highest order...the vocals are very bluesy in the Paul Rodgers style to my ears...and the guitar riffs are right in tune with classic bands like Zeppelin, James Gang, Nazareth, Trapeze, Humble Pie, Free, Cactus...but what this has...to my ears anyway that a lot of the other retro bands lack is the authentic warm crisp punchy well separated analog production...yes really liking this one.
