Группа Anaal Nathrakh - отличный пример того, что приверженность одному стилю и даже самоплагиату (в разумных количествах) - это подчас лучше, чем развитие и поиск новых форм самовыражения. Да, называть их совсем уж ретроградной бандой не стоит: пусть они с первого альбома болтаются между далеко не пластичными блэком и грайндом, изменения оттенков чужды им не были. Но вот, когда они попытались перейти с оттенков на цвета, получилось… не получилось. “Vanitas” как раз является хорошим примером того, что происходит, когда группа после более десяти лет стабильности пытается видоизмениться, но вместо этого тупо переламывается.

Сразу обращает на себя внимание звук, который оперирует не категорией резкого авангардного мышления прошлых лет, а умеренным сочетанием взрывных акцентов ритм-секции и фаз холодной отстраненности, коих на "Colored Sands" больше, чем во всем предыдущем творчестве Gorguts. Картина выстраивается детальная, и не перегруженная ненужным переплетением изобразительных форм, что в свою очередь позволяет говорить о большой работе над аранжировками, коя позволила исключить лишние фрагменты, которые коренным образом не влияли на ход повествования. Такими вещами любят перегружать свои релизы коллективы молодые, и еще не уразумевшие, что технический винегрет, без музыки, не является чем-то ценным. Лемэй же, четко представляет грань между творчеством и хаосом, поэтому не может себе позволить растворить чисто музыкальные идеи в волоките размеров.

Много лет AMON AMARTH пытались вдолбить широкому слушателю, что их музыка крута и великолепна. Альбомы год за годом выпускали Metal Blade, и вот потихоньку - полегоньку попёрло. The project founder, pianist and composer Luca Zabbini, states that his passion for the music of famous keyboardist Keith Emerson (ELP), has fuelled his desire to compose and play a full range of styles, from classical to rock and jazz.
In the summer of 2004, Giambattista "GB" Giorgi, a young bassist influenced by rock sounds with big passion for jazz, and drummer Giacomo Calabria joined the band.
After a long European tour with "Children of the Damned" and Iron Maiden's singer Paul Di'Anno, Luca Pancaldi joins the band as lead vocals in 2002.

Intermission is a compilation album by power metal band Stratovarius, released on 26 June 2001 through Nuclear Blast. The album consists of covers, live and bonus tracks, as well as four new tracks. It charted in the top 100 in four countries.

Infinite is the eighth studio album by power metal band Stratovarius, released on 28 February 2000 through Nuclear Blast (Europe) and Victor Entertainment (Japan). The album reached No. 1 on the Finnish albums chart and remained on that chart for nine weeks, as well as reaching the top 100 in six other countries. "Hunting High and Low" and "A Million Light Years Away" were released as singles, reaching No. 4 and 14 respectively on the Finnish singles chart. Infinite was certified Platinum in June 2013, with 21,907 copies sold.

Elements Pt. 1 is the ninth studio album by power metal band Stratovarius, released on 27 January 2003 through Nuclear Blast. The album reached No. 2 on the Finnish albums chart, as well as reaching the top 100 in four other countries. "Eagleheart" was released as a single, also reaching No. 2 on the Finnish singles chart.

Dreamspace is the third studio album by power metal band Stratovarius, released on 9 February 1994 through Noise Records. It is the last Stratovarius album to feature guitarist Timo Tolkki on vocals (after which Timo Kotipelto became the lead singer on 1995's Fourth Dimension), as well as the first to feature bassist Jari Kainulainen. Sami Kuoppamäki was asked to record drums for some of the songs after drummer Tuomo Lassila was unable to finnish the sessions due to tendonitis.
