В общем, что обещали то и получили - еще более усложнившийся Rush c долгожданной тонной клавиш. Что интересно - на Genesis совершенно не похоже, хотя у них был примерно такой же прогресс. Отличие в том, что клавиши стали полноправным инструментом в музыкальной палитре, но рок при этом никуда не уходил. Итого - мрачный, местами депрессивный, но при этом чертовски качественный альбом, достойный любой коллекции серьёзного меломана. Rush опять поменялись, но растеряли при этом самый минимум фэнов. И как это у них только получается?

В целом - самый обычный альбом Rush, самый обычный набор песен в стиле прогрессив рока. По сравнению с прошлыми двумя работами клавиш стало ощутимо поменьше, гитар, соответственно, чуть побольше. Да это и правильно - после такого титана мысли, каким был "Power Windows", усложнять музыку еще больше было бы просто глупо. Поэтому ребята пошли в обратном направлении, и на "Hold Your Fire" сделали этакий шажок назад, к меланхоличному настроению "Signals". Запись просто отличная, исполнительское мастерство вполне на уровне. На диске присутствуют несколько исключительно приятных композиций, достойных входить в пантеон лучших песен Rush.

Different Stages is a live album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in 1998. The bulk of the first and second discs were recorded at the World Amphitheater in suburban Chicago during the 1997 Test for Echo tour, along with three songs from the 1994 Counterparts tour. The third disc is taken from a performance at the Hammersmith Odeon in London during the A Farewell to Kings tour in 1978.

Vapor Trails is the seventeenth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush. It was released on May 14, 2002 on Anthem Records, and it is their first studio release since Test for Echo (1996), the longest gap between two Rush albums. After touring finished in July 1997, the group entered an extended hiatus following personal tragedies that happened to drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. They reunited in January 2001 to rehearse material for a new album, recording for which lasted until November. For the first time since Caress of Steel (1975), the group did not incorporate a keyboard into their music.

Test for Echo is the sixteenth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on September 10, 1996 on Anthem Records. It marks the final Rush work prior to the tragic events in Neil Peart's life that put the band on hiatus for several years, as well as the final Rush album to be co-produced by Peter Collins.
The title track reached No. 1 on the mainstream rock chart. The song "Driven" became a bass showcase for Geddy Lee during live performances, while "Resist" was rearranged as an acoustic song on the Vapor Trails and R30 tours. Since then, the band has not performed any tracks from the album in concert. It was remastered and reissued twice: in 2004 as a continuation of "The Rush Remasters" set and in 2013 as a part of the box set The Studio Albums 1989–2007.

Back in 1980, during their Permanent Waves tour, Rush played three consecutive nights at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri from February 11th through the 13th. A fairly well-known bootleg from a live radio broadcast recording of one of those three performances has been around for quite some time.

Clockwork Angels is the nineteenth and final studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on June 8, 2012 on Anthem Records. During their year-and-a-half break following their Snakes & Arrows Tour, the group decided to write a new studio album. The album was recorded in April 2010 at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee and from October to December 2011 at Revolution Recording in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Chronicles is a compilation album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in 1990 (see 1990 in music). The collection was assembled without the participation of the band.
