It features an eight-minute version of "The Race", the edited version of which reached number 7 in the UK Singles Chart in August of that year. Gorillaz is the self-titled debut studio album by the British virtual band Gorillaz, released on 26 March 2001 by Parlophone Records internationally and by Virgin Records in the United States. The album reached number three in the UK, and was an unexpected hit in the US, hitting number 14 and selling over seven million copies worldwide by 2007. Demon Days is the second studio album by British virtual band Gorillaz, released on 11 May 2005 in Japan and on 23 May internationally by Parlophone Records and in the United States by Virgin Records. The album features contributions from De La Soul, Neneh Cherry, Martina Topley-Bird, Roots Manuva, MF Doom, Ike Turner, Bootie Brown of the Pharcyde, Shaun Ryder, Dennis Hopper, the London Community Gospel Choir, and a children's choir. Frontman Damon Albarn brought in Danger Mouse as producer.

Frank Alpine is the minimal synth project of Los Angeles based musician Rich Moreno. As a veteran of LA’s underground punk and darkwave scenes, as well as a previous member of New Collapse and The Boy Scouts of Annihilation, Moreno has called upon his resume to create a harsh and abrasive minimal synth sound consumed by jarring Casio synths and penetrating drum machine rhythms. Frank Alpine put out its first single Night Tripper with Dais in 2009, and went on to put out its self-titled LP on the late Wierd Records in 2011. Somewhere between the relentless aggression of No Wave and the minimalistic precision of 80s minimal synth, Frank Alpine brands his own style of pared-down electronics with a clashing imprint that is as sharp and machine-like as it is cerebral and distinctly humanistic.

I Say I Say I Say is the sixth studio album from synthpop duo Erasure, released in 1994 by Mute Records in the UK and Elektra Records in the U.S. The album was produced by Martyn Ware, who was a founding member of veteran synthpop groups The Human League and Heaven 17.

The Memory of Trees is the fourth studio album by the Irish singer, songwriter, and musician Enya, released on 20 November 1995 by Warner Music internationally and on 5 December 1995 by Reprise Records in the United States. After travelling worldwide to promote her previous album Shepherd Moons (1991), and contributing to film soundtracks, Enya took a short break before she started writing and recording a new album in 1993 with her longtime recording partners, arranger and producer Nicky Ryan and his wife, lyricist Roma Ryan. The album is Enya's first to be recorded entirely in Ireland, and covers themes that include Irish and Druid mythology, the idea of one's home, journeys, religion, dreams and love. Enya continues to display her sound of multi-tracked vocals with keyboards and elements of Celtic and new age music, though Enya does not consider her music to be in the latter genre. She sings in English, Gaelic, Latin and Spanish.

The album was recorded in Ireland and London and continued to display Enya's sound of multi-tracked vocals with keyboards and elements of Celtic and New age music, though Enya believes her music does not belong in the latter genre.
