Katatonia and Opeth have historically been muttered in the same breath as fellow impresarios of fugue metal, even if the former hasn't been anything remotely close to metal in quite some time. Of course, the bands shared Mikael Åkerfeldt through the Nineties, so they were bound to share the spotlight as well. Over the years, however, the two bands have become divisible even while rolling as touring mates. Since "Discouraged Ones" and "Last Fair Deal Gone Down", Katatonia have taken ongoing steps away from a pure metal path. Opeth continues to embrace it while exploring new courses, as "Damnation" and most recently, "Heritage", have proven. In both cases, their progressive refinement is world-class.

Currently in Australia on a national tour (with B*Witched and Atomic Kitten etc), British pop band East 17 release their new album "24/7" (February 17, 2017 ). Those who’ve been along to see the boys in action as part of said national tour will notice that original members Tony Mortimer and Brian Harvey are no longer part of the band. Replacing both is soul/pop vocalist Robbie Craig, whose voice impresses greatly. Robbie joins original members John Hendy and Terry Coldwell as part of the new line-up. And it’s this line-up which today (physically) releases their new album "24/7". That album, which comprises of 11 new songs, gets the Australian tour reworking, adding new 2017 versions of the band’s classic hits ‘House Of Love’, ‘It’s Alright’ and ‘Stay Another Day’, as well as a remix of album track ‘Strip’.
