British hard rock veterans look back on better times to get a clearer picture of what’s to come. Third album on the comeback road from Jerusalem, who formed in the 70s and released one album before disbanding, finds original members Lynden Williams and Bob Cooke joined by prog luminaries Geoff Downes on keyboards and Nick D'Virgilio on drums. The danger in these situations is that the star turns become the main show, however on Cooler Than Antarctica, if anything, the opposite is true. Williams' vocals leading from the front (Cooke, credited as 'composer' doesn't actually appear on the album, as such), while it is guitarist Ollie Hannifan who drives most of the songs on show. Downes, alongside Ray Drury who also plays keys, instead provides a solid base from which everything else jumps off, while D'Virgilio, in the main, keeps it pretty simple (by his standards anyway…).

He founded his record label, Easy Star Records, in 1996, and while many other independent labels have come and gone, Easy Star has become a leading independent reggae label, adapting to changes in the industry and continuing to flourish. Michael’s latest project is ‘Goldswagger‘, a journey back to the r&b/soul/funk side of the reggae master. Goldswagger brings back the vibes of the late 70’s/early 80’s, when music was still recorded as live as possible in the studio and musicianship ruled the day.

Шведская группа WITCHERY была одной из самых активных на европейской метал-сцене на рубеже веков.
Первые релизы WITCHERY представляли тогда ещё невиданную брутальную форму thrash-metal. Музыканты стали одними из первых в этом жанре, который затем на некоторое время занял такие же позиции, как metalcore сейчас. Мощные риффы с брутальным, практически «блэковым» вокалом, натуральные и постоянные переходы от thrash-metal к death-metal, а от death-metal к old-school black-thrash-metal завораживали своей злобной энергетикой. Потом популярность стиля, а следом и WITCHERY пошла на спад, и группа на некоторое время прекратила своё существование. Но в этом году после трёхлетнего перерыва коллектив неожиданно вернулся с новым вокалистом. Да с каким!!! Новым фронтмэном стал сатанист Legion, известный широкой публике по работе в MARDUK. Теперь творчество WITHCERY окончательно приняло антихристианско-инфернальный характер. Забавно, что музыка группы изменилась несильно, но вокал Легиона, как оказалось, подходит к ней идеально. Чтобы сделать возвращение боле шумным, шведы привлекли к записи очень известных приглашённых музыкантов, к примеру Kerry King из SLAYER и Gary Holt из EXODUS.
Хороший, очень качественный и забойный альбом для всех поклонников самых брутальных вариантов thrash-metal. Эта музыка не слишком запоминается своими мелодиями, но, безусловно, запоминается своим драйвом.

We See the Same Sun is the second album by German eurodance group Mr. President, released in May 1996. This album arranged the band's international breakthrough, including three hit singles: "Coco Jamboo", their most successful song that entered the charts all over Europe, Australia and the United States, "I Give You My Heart" and "Show Me the Way". The album also contains a song recorded with German singer Nino De Angelo, "Olympic Dreams". In the year of its release the band won a Viva Comet for Best Dance Act and 12 months later they received an Echo award for their international success with We See the Same Sun, being the best selling German artist outside Germany.
