2016-06-08 - Swedish adventure metallers, TWILIGHT FORCE, recently signed a record deal with German metal powerhouse Nuclear Blast. Now, after several months of work in the band's studio, the Twilight Forge, the band is set to release their sophomore album and label debut called »Heroes Of Mighty Magic«, on August 26th.

During the recording of Simple Minds previous studio album Graffiti Soul, Jim Kerr stated: «We really are flowing with ideas at the moment and [...] I do feel that we are possibly writing two albums simultaneously at present.» Several tracks were omitted from Graffiti Soul so that the album had more focus. Possible candidates include "Six Degrees Of Separation", "Lotus Effect" and "Shaman".
According to Simple Minds lead singer Jim Kerr, Big Music has lots of power and passion, urgency and momentum, adding "it is energetic, it's got a raw power and a lot of vitality".

This terrific recording from young French saxophone star Emile Parisien special. There’s an easy creativity in the compositions that brings a constant variety to the set, and a total commitment to each of the styles the group work through. It’s a new group, too, audibly enjoying discovering what they can do. Parisien, a multi-award winner in France, has departed from his decade-old quartet, and recruited three new cohorts – Manu Codjia on guitar, Simon Tailleu on bass, and Mario Costa on drums. Joachim Kühn, who lived for many years in Paris, makes it a quintet, and brings half a century’s experience of every kind of piano playing into the mix.

These and extra tracks are available on deluxe / vinyl, as well as another brand new song ‘Is Someone Rocking Your Heart?’. The song ‘For You’, released originally on ‘Rockin' All Over The World’, is available only on the 20 track vinyl format. The deluxe edition comes with a second disc which features 5 ‘Aquostic II’ bonus tracks as well as 6 tracks recorded at the band’s 2014 Stuttgart ‘Aquostic’ show, which are unavailable elsewhere.

After four post-college years trying to turn her music major into a singing career in New York, Shola Adisa-Farrar, FCLC ’06, was unsatisfied. She packed up and moved to Paris, where, like a lot of expats, she survived at first by cobbling together a variety of jobs. She worked as an au pair, taught English to business executives, and led walking tours of the city. But she also networked ferociously and landed singing and acting gigs. This past April, a Paris label released her first album, Lost Myself, recorded with a French jazz quintet.
