Идеальные аранжировки, эмоциональные тексты и хорошее звучание, а что ещё нужно?

Close to the Bone is the sixth studio album by the British pop group Thompson Twins, released by Arista in March 1987. Now only the duo of Tom Bailey and Alannah Currie remaining, this was the first album the group made without Joe Leeway. It was produced by Bailey and Rupert Hine.
Ending their run of Top 5 albums in the UK, the album was a commercial failure, peaking at number 90 in the UK and failing to yield any hit singles. The Soul Cages is the third full-length studio album released by Sting and the first to feature longtime guitarist Dominic Miller. Released in January 1991, it became his second No. 1 album in the United Kingdom.
It spawned four singles: "All This Time", "Mad About You", "Why Should I Cry for You" and "The Soul Cages".[citation needed] The title track won Sting the first Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 1992.

Удивительно то, что с первым (и единственным) альбомом Abstrakt Algebra (об этом великолепном творении - в другой раз) у "Dactylis Glomerata" не так уж много общего. Мы наблюдаем несколько облегченный по сравнению с ранними творениями Candlemass звук, более высокий темп песен, активное использование клавишных. Новый вокалист имеет более хрипловатый и немного гнусавый голос, но, в целом, он на этом релизе не вызывает отторжения. Гитара звучит совсем по-другому (благо на альбоме отметились аж три гитариста), ударные не вызывают особых эмоций. Стоит отметить, что с этого альбома у Лейфа Эдлинга, основного автора Candlemass, появилась привычка давать композициям странные и местами нелепые имена (она продолжится на альбоме его сайд-проекта Krux).
